I'd think Toronto wouldn't pass up Paajarvi Svensson for Kassian, but im all for it if it means Edmonton gets Cowen :D

If Burke wants Tavares so much but can't get him, why not move down a few picks and get Schroeder?

Schroeder isn't quite as good as JT, obviously, but he's got better vision and plays a more well-rounded game. Teams don't win without a number one center, and Schroeder will be able to do that for him. I know Leafs fans will hate the idea of moving down, but I think it would be sensible. Going from 7 to 11 should get you a 2nd and a 3rd, which are valuable picks in a deep draft like this.

I thought Burke wasn't that high on MPS, Kassian is his type of player. As for his draft position, Kassian possesses a pretty unique skillset, it takes one GM to fall in love with him to draft him high and Burke is the most likely one to do it.

I'm not a big fan of Schroeder. I'd much rather see him move up a spot for one of Schenn/MSP.
