did not get a chance to watch the WJC this year, can anyone tell me what type of game he preaches to his players?

Ryan Murray, Murphy and RNH were all said to have earned spots on the team but he wants a lunch bucket team. And that is the way Missisauga plays, they score few goals, they give up fewer.

It's been speculated quite a bit, going back to the WJC this season. Melnyk has been stroking Cameron's name this week in several interviews. Said he likes loyal people, Cameron took Melnyk's junior team on a favour when Melnyk said Dave's next step was the NHL.

Ski said he heard something through the grapevine last night in Bingo.

Sounds inevitable despite Melnyk also saying it's a hockey operations decision.

    Sigh.

    Cameron would ruin this organization.

    At least Hartsburg won gold

Melnyk. Please, just sign the cheques. Don't force this upon us...

Really hope not. Plus Muller has informed Montreal he won't be back next season...

Well, it's still just a rumour.

I don't know much about Cameron but that was a shocking collapse by Canada in the WJC.

Holy fack I'd be pretty enraged if we just let that pass for some dink.

  16. Grinding and playing tight D. Not a fan of Dave Cameron and I hope the organization doesn't go in his direction.

I know it's just one game but that choke job against Russia was terrible coaching.

Not to mention he was pretty bad in Bingo. Even with a stacked team during the lockout, they choked in the first round.

After the last few coaches, I either want someone with NHL cred, or to keep CC. CC has been by far the best of the Murray hires and I feel like another inexperienced coach is bound to be worse.

By the end of the following season fans held "Fire Cameron" banners and had the barn yelling in unison..it was real ugly

I know it's been a disappointing few years for you guys, but hiring the British Prime Minister is not the answer! :sarcasm:

    :laugh::laugh::laugh:

There is always the possibility that Cameron comes in as an Assistant coach & not the Head Coach. There are a number of organizations now that seem to keep certain assistant coaches while hiring new head coaches. How long has Keith Acton been with Toronto? How long has Larry Robinson been with New Jersey? How long has Carvel been with the Sens? Maybe Melnyk forces Murray to hire Cameron as an assistant to whoever the new coach will be & Cameron gets his foot in the door as some other junior coaches have come into the NHL as assistants. Just a thought.

I really really really hope this doesn't happen. Put me on the "Kirk Muller please" bandwagon. Cameron is horrible. The Senators need to go back to fast transition game, not slow as molasses grinding and trapping style game.

Murray talked about moving in that direction when he signed Gonchar. Unless he was lying I can't believe he'd hire Cameron.

I would be afraid of the Devils grabbing him. Unfortunately that's probably a better fit for the ex-devil.
    I'll continue to pray though.
