He could go for few games if some of the lower tier teams are having trouble with injuries. Otherwise he'll stay at Oulu.

But I agree with you about being scratched too many times last season. His big brother was playing all the time, even though Aatu was looking better all the time.
Someone on Kärpät's staff has the wrong idea of what he can bring for sure.

No Niemelä or Räty again today for Kärpät. Gotta wonder what Manner is thinking, since neither of them are not with the U20 team either.

Playing 10 minutes once a week can't be really good for deveopment.

Last season the Rätys at least got some ice-time as the 13th forward. To avoid having to play them they have gone to dressing an extra defenseman for three games straight now.

Something is wrong.

So after playing as the 7D for a few games to start the season Joni Jurmo hasn't been dressed. Is there a reason he hasn't been sent to the U20 team?

I think there is a 10 day quarantine(might be old info) if you get sent down or called up. Teams are not sending players to the U20 league if they are planning on playing them in the future.

Has anyone seen Emil Vinni play? He got 21 saves in 8-1 win against Lukko in U20 league. He is still under 15 years old and became the youngest player ever to play in HIFK's U20 team.

Watched at Pohjola-leiri was chosen best goalie I think he would have been starter for U16 national team ahead of Karppinen and Vali. The U20 game was vs Kalpa and theres good quality and superbly edited video of the game on youtube + just a goalie video of Vinni

I very highly skilled guy with tricks and dangles for every situation. "An artist" who can be invisible for 55 minutes and then suddenly score two highlight reel goals in back-to-back shifts. He sees the game very well, gives good passes and can anticipate the game at a high level.

The downside is, he tends to vanish for lenghty periods in games and also appears to be a bit lazy when defending.

Attended Islanders' prospect camp in 2019. Now playing with JyP in Liiga. Has seven points in 12 games but not sure what that means as far as his all around game.

Topias Hynninen numbers are looking impressive so far. 14 years of age and already PPG with Kalpas u-18.
Should Jesse Nurmi move to a bigger organization perhaps?
Niilopekka Muhonen with some good numbers this year.
Emil Järventie seems to have big potential just as his older brother. Impressive numbers for his age.
Kemell with some good scoring.

Kähkönen, Husso and Lankinen NHL debuts last 2 seasons... Korpisalo and Saros in strong position for their clubs... Im sure Luukkonen, Blomqvist and Annunen will get their chance in some years + couple potential mega prospects in Leinonen and Vinni coming I think the net will be a strenght in future aswell

CBJ will also be forced to trade either Korpisalo or Merzlikins in the near future, which should mean that also Veini Vehviläinen could very well get his chance for playing in the NHL.

Why will they?

Every team always thinks they can trade a back up goalie, and these players rarely get traded. Too much supply, not enough demand.
