It doesn't look too bad.

Pitkanen - Timonen
Salo - Numinen
Lydman - Niinimaa

It looks like Pitkänen might not make it either, and then it's actually looking bad.

You think Finland has it bad? Remember that the Canadian squad lost Special Ed.

A National Tragedy.

People laugh when Aki's name is mentioned on Finland's Olympic team.

But what they don't realize is Aki has ALWAYS elevated Aki's game several notches, whenever Aki wears the Finnish jersey.

Whether at the World Juniors, 2 Olympics or the World Cup, Aki leaves it all on the ice.

Aki is what Finnish hockey is all about.

Finland is doomed without Aki.

Maybe this is just a ploy by Quinn. Quinn wants Aki off the Finnish team, and at the same time, Quinn needs Aki rested if the Leafs go anywhere in the playoffs.

Yes Aki does take alot dumb penalties. I'd say he's 2nd worst dmen to play for team Finland in past 10 years. Undisputed #1 in Niinimaa

Not even Lydman can make Niinimaa look like a defenseman...

Lydman is nursing an undisclosed injury (possibly a groin pull) and Numminen has a pulled hamstring he's playing through at the moment. I'm concerned since those two are 1A and 1B for the Sabres right-side defense. Without Lydman, they're 1-6 this year. I hope Finland does well, and that their roster comes through healthy.
