Looks pretty bad if the big names miss the Showcase tounament too, we barely have 2 good lines with really big questionmarks at center.

Vesalainen-Kotkaniemi-Kakko
Talvitie-Tanus-Ylönen
Nyman-Koskenkorva-Pajuniemi
Moilanen-Petman-Ranta
Engberg

Defense doesn't look much better

Vaakanainen-Honka
Utunen-Räsänen
Salmela-Laaksonen
Riekkinen-Iziguzo

Luukkonen, Lehtinen and Annunen are all good goalies so at least that department is solid.

Martin Kaut won't be there, at least according to this interview: Kaut letí do Colorada. Mluvil o pláči hasičů, Sakicovi a operovaném srdci - iSport.cz

Turned it off after the 2nd period. An absolute no-show by the Czech team. Necas was head and shoulders above everyone else (among Czechs at least, can't say I paid much attention to the Finnish team), but judging by his body language I don't think he even wants to be there, not like he can learn anything from U20 hockey anyway. Skarek picked up right where he left off with his international play. It's so odd though, he has been a swiss-cheese on the international scene for more than a year now, yet he continues to dominate in the Czech 2nd league and did relatively well in Extraliga. No idea what to expect from him in Liiga.
Expecting a Czech win tommorrow, or at least a much closer result.

Well, czech ice hockey is f***ed. Its hard to compete with top countries without producing any (GOOD)defenseman. At least we produce decent centers now with Chytil and Nečas, but we dont need forwards we have net full of pucks because out defense suck a d**ck. Czech Ice hockey Association says that czech hockey is on rise but all i see is that our 16,17,18,19,20 teams losing everytime they play with top teams like wtf, what are they smoking there, fu*cking liars i am so mad.

This post is gold lol. I generally agree though. I think the upswing in quality is apparent when you compare the results and quality of top prospects with those from 10 years ago, but it's not nearly as good as the association makes it to be. Regarding the defensemen, they are bad in every age group and it's not going to change anytime soon.

First period Finland really farmed those penalties and allowed Czechs to score a couple of goals, but after that it was completely onesided. Was expecting a victory but wasn't expecting a spanking like that.

For Finland one player I was impressed by is Lauri Pajuniemi. Never really watched him but he was constantly doing good things and he has quite the shot.

Is Filip Hronek your most promising young D?

And why isn't Zadina playing in these games? Maybe tomorrow?

Zadina dont give a shit about juniors anymore and yes Hronek is promising, but we need at least 10 simmilar players like Hronek to be on top. Our best defenseman now are Radko Gudas, Jan Rutta, Michal Kempný and.... and who the fck is next, maybe Libor Šulák??

Why did they drop #10 even though he was excellent? Why is #4 still on the first pairing? No idea what they're doing.
