It's impossible to predict who will play in Europe in 2018. Not all of our prospects will make it to NHL and some of the current NHL'ers have returned to Europe by then.

I haven't followed Partanen that closely in recent years but I think he has more to offer compared to what he has shown so far.

But can he develop into such a good player? I don't think so.

I thought he'd finally have that breakthrough Liiga season after he had a couple of really good CHL games before the season started, but then he fell flat on his face yet again.
