Which player will be the final cut from the roster?

  2. I like Cracknell a lot, but I have to believe that he is the odd man out barring a trade of some kind.

I am voting Cracknell. It's pretty tough to make an informed decision without any of the the games being available to see. It could easily be someone else that underperformed hugely.

Cracknell and I hope he get's claimed because #1 he might get a chance to play somewhere regularly, and #2 so I don't have to hear anything else about the damn CPR line anymore.

Honestly no other player besides Cracknell or Porter should even be in the poll...

It should be Cracknell, and at this time, when all teams will be dropping players, he stands a very good chance on clearing waivers. which teams are the weakest at forward depth, and most likely to grab him? My guess is that he'll sneak through. If it were mid-season, he'd be grabbed up. But, I think he'll make it safely to Chicago. yes, Porter is still a more valuable player over all, due to his overall game.

It will be Cracknell. Porter is maybe has an outside chance, no way I see anyone else being in the mix. Not sure what prompted JR to tweet that there were others being considered, because everyone else would be claimed (maybe Lapierre would escape) and we aren't going to risk losing any of them for nothing.

Whoever it is, Hitch basically said the decision won't have been difficult.

He's talked about it in interviews a few times, but this is the latest quote, from JR:

That's a surprising quote from Hitchcock. Even if true, I'm surprised he would say something like that.

I'm not surprised, because he didn't call out a player by name.

It makes a lot of sense, depending on the players personality. We gave him a 1-way contract and Hitch feels let down by his reaction to that, I'm sure he'll see that. Hopefully it lights a fire back in the AHL.

First call up could be interesting though... Andronov might be the favourite.

He did though, as soon as the player is cut we'll all know exactly who he was talking about.

Wow, I didn't see that coming.

And I think he's a guy that Hitchcock really likes. I remember at the World Championships....I think Hitchcock took a shine to Porter. I guess he's quietly had a pretty disappointing camp. And with the young depth in the AHL he may have a hard time finding his way back to St Louis.

Yeah, same here.. I don't know what CBJ looks like depth wise, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got picked up by the Blue Jackets because of JD and Jarmo.

i would have thought Porter would have played last night to give him one last chance. Most of us didn't see much of him in the preseason or at camp so who knows what was going on with him.
