That's pretty interesting. I think they're still testing the roster and would guess this isn't a "send him down to play there for the rest of the year" type of move (as in, he could still be sent back to the CR). Thinking they want to get the roster settled a bit, see how he does, and then see what tweaks they need to make and whether they can bring him back up at some point.

i dont think the wolfpack will be as terrible as they were last year

Yeah a couple of games in isn't a great indicator. They do seem to still be a fairly young team with some unproven D and goaltending, so that'll always be a bit tough early on

its not so much about their record during the season but the play of the overall team and the growth in the younger players

if this becomes 20-25 games in and they are showing nothing and the younger players arent developing thats a different story, but you cant judge a team based on a few games. especially a minor league team where players are coming in and out so frequently in the first month

He only got 5 minutes in game 2 where most of team was garbage (other than that comeback period). He deserves at least one more NHL game considering how well he played in preseason geez.

The WolfPack should have beat Charlotte in their first game, but gave up 3 goals in the last 10 minutes to lose the game by 1 goal. Charlotte is a very good AHL team.

We just beat Lehigh Valley, who was a Playoff team last year.

Nell looked great last game.

Nell was also really happy with how our Dmen played last game. Said they did a hell of a job keeping the shots outside and giving him a good view of the puck. Our Top 4 in Hartford is pretty damn solid.

Yeah, we had a bad pre-season, but I like our start and think things may be looking up for Hartford. Might not be such a depressing place to play this season.

No, he really doesn't. The kid was terrible. He looked lost out there. He can now go to the AHL with a little bit less pressure and get comfortable playing top end minutes against good competition. Keeping him for one more game would do nothing but hurt his confidence. Playing him 15 minutes a night does no good for the team either. This isn't as simple as a youngster going through growing pains like DeAngelo. ADA doesn't look out of place at the NHL level. Chytil was absolutely TERRIBLE.

FYI: Chytil can play in the AHL all year and his contract will still slide.

His cap hit next year will be $894,167 because his signing bonus is paid out this season regardless of the slide.
