    Hi,
I am wondering what material fight straps are made of? Are they elastic or not? I have seen in pictures that there is usually both velcro and buttons to keep it together, but I am curious about the strap itself.
    Thanx

its made of the same material as the Jersey but in a differnt weave. A heavy tight knit. IT stretches over its length by about an inch when really pulled. The width has more stretch due to its weave pattern. About the same thickness of a foot sock but much tighter knit. ITs def not the Elastic found in a waist band or hockey garter belt.
