Be careful what you wish for. Check out the NBA series.

You'll be signing record deals and endorsing limousine companies with your career mode player if you're not careful. :sarcasm:

So I finally just caved and bought FIFA 19 and all I can say is why? Why did I do this to myself? There is nothing to separate it from last years game other than the new league rights.

I honestly think there is some significant improvements in the gameplay. Some controls are different and much better overall control on the ball. Tactics and in-game tactical changes are a significant improvement as well.

True there are game play changes and they are for the better. But I don't think at this point these changes are going to be enough to keep attached to the game. I started a career mode (my main mode of choice) and everything about it was the same. I knew that would be the case but in past years I have been able to just get over the unchanged career mode and have some fun with the game. We will have to see how it goes over the next couple days, but I have my doubts.

Visible stoppage time!! Finally, what took them so long?

But EA still won't let you change the GK kit so there are gonna be times when the GK clashes with the opposing team's kit.

I'm tempted to get it just to play through the Journey, although I may just watch a playthrough on youtube since that's really the core of it anyway.

The journey is cool because you can control 3 people. Although I don't know about Alex going to a set team. I would have liked for him to stay at PSG.

I wouldn’t. I have the 10 hr free trial from EA Access and have played an hour since the early launch date. Just not worth it imo.

The game play of the game is growing on me but I can't help the feeling of me getting punked by EA yet again. Career mode is the same and I knew that going in, yet I still bought it....

Last time I played the journey i think on fifa 17 it was only a journey for 1 season. I didn’t find the point of playing that mode for only 1 season. Is that still the case?

Which version of FIFA would you recommend for offline play between FIFA 14-16? This is for last-gen, the newest one I have is FIFA 13.

I prefer games with slower more sim than arcade gameplay.

Wife is getting it for me this Christmas. Was 40% off at Target and she has a red card so 45% total. If it wasn't for that I would've told her not to get it for me. Hopefully I finish RDR 2 before then. I did a RTG with Forrest Green last year, might do them again or is there a better league one team to pick?

If you're looking for something similar to Forest Green, Tranmere Rovers and Macclesfield Town were just promoted into League 2 which could be a challenge. In league 1 I did a Wycombe Wanderers career mode last year which I enjoyed. I usually pick teams that have moderate expectations and budget

What do their jerseys look like? I liked the look of the Forest Green kits so that helped my selection. I did Wycombe a few years ago when they were league two cause they had that cool squared pattern with the two different color blue jerseys.

I like the look of both these kits tbh with a slight preference to Macclesfield

Definitely liking the Macclesfield one a lot more especially that black and grey, that orange keeper jersey is nice too. Hopefully they have a few kids on the team that have some potential and aren't just a bunch of aging vets with little transfer potential.

They may have 1 or 2 guys that have at least some potential, but the rest I wouldn't hold your breathe on...

Sounds like a spend all your transfer budget on a scout and sign any kid with a pulse. A total rebuild isn't bad but I hate having a lineup with all scouted players and their generic names and no photo.

I'm finally thinking about buying the new NHL game, but I really wanna know if they've redone the be a pro in some way? like, in '18 it's pretty boring aside from being great to play the actual game, I mean, there's almost no options like asking for more minutes, sugesting trade targets, and when you get injured it takes forever to simulate thr weeks (why they've to stop the simulation to talk about my minutes when I'm not even playing, so dumb). Plus, the menus are so basic it looks like it was done by a 15y old.

the whole draft experience is bleak AF

Dunno, don't play NHL or watch hockey anymore actually lol

I will say early impressions of FM19 are great. Best version of the game I've played and I've been playing FM forever.

Haven't played an NHL game since they moved to Next Gen. We do have a forum dedicated to the NHL series here, EA Sports NHL Probably will get better luck over there. I will say this as I do watch youtube videos for the NHL series and it honestly doesn't seem like its hardly changed too much.

I haven't played career mode in about three years but I'm looking to get back into it this summer.

Do United still buy 13 strikers?
