I doubt that Florida would select Huberdeau over Couturier. And Habs can dream about Jensen #21, but you never know, they could be lucky.

Looks pretty good, but Florida is currently 5th though.

No, I'm not serious.

I suspect the Devils would take Strome over Murphy should both be available, because of some defense heavy drafts lately, but it's mostly a hunch and I could see it going either way.

i was hoping him and adam clendening would go in the first, im not sure why they dropped off they've been producing

They've dropped off on HFBoards. Which means... nothing.

I think both have a good chance of going in the 1st round. I think Nieto is the best America forward in the draft. Biggs and Saad will go higher because of their size. I'm not sure about Clendening. He has lots of talent but needs a patient organization. I could see him drop like Merrill.

Nieto is very much still considered a late first round talent, size or no size.

Clendening's lack of foot speed and size has been listed as a major concern from some of the stuff I have seen/heard. Still expect him to go some time in round two or early in round three.

No, they've dropped elsewhere too, especially Clendening.

As a Sens fan, please let this be true. Picking up RNH and Puempel will make my year. :D

That would be pretty sweet....

The Sens are already looking pretty deep in young goalies and D moving forward....so two potential Top 6 forwards could really ramp up the rebuild....

Overall I think this was one of the more reasonable mock drafts.....

Matthew Nieto has been my guy all season.

Love his game, skill, and character as a fit with Rangers philosophy/identity.

What's the deal with Zack Phillips? Does he play alongside Huberdeau? I haven't watched either of them play, so what would you say differentiates the two besides stats, one inch in height and a bit of weight?

I'm guessing Jon has more high end potential, better skills and skating, but what's Zack's potential like?

Also, I like the list but what are your thoughts on Boone Jenner? Will he fall into the 2nd round and be available for the Leafs 2nd round pick do you think?

A RNH and Hall combo for the next 10 yrs might be too hard for the Oilers to pass up? If not RNH and Hall, then RNH feeding Eberle......man the Oilers would be too explosive up front with those guys!! Then you can always dump a forward or sign a big free agent D-man to the backend!

I don't think Detroit take Seth Ambroz, if they are taking a big forward they need a legit goal scoring power forward, and while he's meant to have a decent shot, I don't think he has impressed quite enough.

I think they prefer to take a risk on someone like Catenacci.

Agreed and throw in Hamilton's name as well. Either way, I would be happy with any of those three players. But I still think Conte jumps on Strome if he's there.

Islanders don't need another center with Tavares, Bailey, Nielsen, Lee, Nelson - and the Rangers don't need another smallish forward in Bärtschy.

One of the worst Mock Drafts I've ever seen.

Disagree - draft shows a lot of thought and knowledge.

You go BPA and, if need be, trade from a position of strength. (and like center can't shift to wing??? - especially one like Tavares)

Drafting for position is rarely done and for good reason as well. Mainly because it's dumb.
