YOU OUTGHTA KNOWWWWW
I'd have given Turco a start by now, i havent really be impressed with either of Luongo or Brodeur, mind you, not dissapointed with them, they've just been average. Looking forward to this game, should be a good one, probably a tight checking 3-2 sorta of score.

I have high hopes for this game. My own team against my second team (Canada). I´m expecting a close and fysical game. Finland will lead going to third period, but Canada is going to score two quick goals at the beginning of third. Finland will tie the game with 7 seconds left with a slapshot from Salo. Both teams are going to be happy with the game and go and have a few pints at a local irish pub!

GO FINLAND GO!

go canada go!

best game of pre-lims

This will most definitely be the best game of the opening round.
However I see it being a very close game.
Canada is hungry from a win and looking to re-bound.
Finland is looking for the 4th straight, lets see if they can handle it.

My prediction

3-2 Finland.

I think Finland will win the game 5-3.

Goals for Suomi: Selanne, Lehtinen, Koivu, Ruutu :yo: and an empty netter.

Until Ruutu throws a cheap shot. ;)

And then Bertuzzi throws one back! :D

We live in hope :)

So far the only little exchange of
punches was between Sundin and
Vishnevski in SWE-RUS.

BigBerta (BB? :)) and Rudi could
have a small dance for us, yes.

Finland wins 3 concussions to 2 thanks to Ruutu's late 3rd period cheapshot on Sakic, who was immediately taken to the hospital). Good effort by Canada though, down 2-0 early, got back on track in the 2nd period when Bertuzzi broke the necks of Teemu Selanne and Ville Peltonen.

BTW,

Who said that either CAN or CZE has started badly?
After today's round they are going to have an equal
amount of points. Just as tight as they thought coming
into the games.

:D

I have serious concerns about team Canada's chances.

McCabe plays for Quinn in Toronto.
Doan plays for Gretzky in Phoenix.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what is going on.

I really want to see Pronger and guys trying to shutdown the FIN 1st line, because let's face it: they can't. Finland will score atleast 4 goals and depending on Nitty's shape CAN will score anything from 2 to 4.

Ruutu had better not try any of his crap, because Canada has got the King of Kings when it comes to straightening people out (Bertuzzi).

Bertuzzi will straighten out Ruutu in a big hurry.
