Zero chance Bartshi goes that low. Even before playoff performance he wouldn't have gone that low, I won't be surprised if he cracks the top 10. 85 points as a rookie in a new league coming from overseas is quite an accomplishment, not to mention how he elevated his game in the playoffs moreso than any of his already drafted teammates.

I wonder what Armia has done to fall that low? And Larsson at 4, behind future 3rd liner Landeskog?

And i don't see Gibson going that high either.

Especially when that league is the WHL. Pretty much the toughest egg to crack in the chl

I believe this is a ranking, not a mock draft or projection. As such, some players will be ranked quite a bit higher or lower than even FC thinks they will go. These are essentially their outliers, and is what makes the ranking interesting.

The real question to ask is "why" is Bartschi being ranked so low.

That is the lowest ranking for MILLER I have seen...

CSS=#23 NA skater;but that was before he looked like a kesler clone at the World u-18's

ISS (May) =#16 overall

Mark Seidel =#16 ..

MCKEEN's (fill in if anyone knows where tey rank him)

THN (fill in if anyone has their ranking for him)

BOB MCKEMZIE : We are awaiting his rankings when TSN.ca eventually posts them ...

Point is to get a "consensus on JT MIller ....my hunch is that after his impressive display at the world u-18's he should go somewhere in the mid-first not the late first ...

ISS and Seidel seem about right on him -- he SHOULD go 13-18 range
--if he makes it to#18 he would be my pick there for my Blackhawks...

A 2-way centre with speed and skill and a physical edginess to his game --prety good size at 6'1 198--as i said the closest thing to a kesler clone in this draft --DEFINITELY has to be around the mid-first not the end of the first..

Bärtschi way to low, and Grimaldi to high for my taste. Interesting to see Huberdeau at 2. Other than that I like the top30 a lot. Great work.

I've seen Grimaldi play. Had he been 5'11 he would have gone 1st overall. The fact that he's 5'6 and possibly going in the first round goes to show his talent.

Development of the rankings

It's interesting to see how irrelevant rankings in September (pre-season) are. The 2nd ranked prospect was merely an honourable mention. The 8th ranked prospect wasn't even ranked in September. The players ranked 4th and 6th in September ended up at 20th and 38th come May.

This is not intended to be a shot at FC at all, I think the ranking is great. It just shows that people need to realize how much can change in a draft year (much like from now until 2012).

It is one of my favourite things to keep track of! It's also why the rankings are so interesting, I find. It's also a good reason to never call anyone a consensus first overall pick a year before their draft!

Good work. Looking at the top 60 list you really get a sense of the depth in this draft. It's a good year if you stockpiled 2nd round picks.

Like the list for the most part, Bartschi being the big flaw for me too.

With that being said, I understand it's a list and not a mock.
