I never liked Jagr. Can't explain it.

Pretty much pissing in the wind voting against Jagr here, but i put my vote on Gaborik. He was one of my favourite players, one of the most exciting in his generation to watch when he was healthy and in his prime.

Jagr is also a super likeable and charismatic player though. Not at all surprised he's running away with this a little bit. Can definitely understand why.

Though in the GDR all top-level hockey was effectively controlled by the secret police, in the ČSSR it wasn't so. Jágr's Kladno club for one was an ironworks team.

Lol the Soviet part was sarcastic (Jagr has stated multiple times he despised the USSR). But i've heard from so many people that they didn't like Jagr because he seemed to follow the money and not 'committing' to any particular franchise after he left the Penguins.

And not only is Jaromir Jagr Jaromir Jagr's favourite player, but Jaromir Jagr is also Jaromir Jagr's favourite literary subject, as demonstrated by Jaromir Jagr's answer when asked earlier this year about the last book Jaromir Jagr read.

If it's good enough for Jaromir Jagr, then it's good enough for me.
