Montour was definitely taken too early, and Gardiner is a pretty bad fit.

Yeah D is hurting you a bit.

I think at best Montour and Gardiner are both #4 guys.

You don't really want both playing together, yet you also don't want either guy on the top pair ideally.

I like Orlov and McAvoy a lot. Imo if you choose to wait on top 4 defense in these drafts, it's better to go with dmen who have a good defensive rep but are limited offensively instead of vice-versa.

People dock you less for having defensive dmen who don't put up points instead of offensive dmen who have a rep for being bad defensively. Especially if you have the offense up front to make up for the lack of offense from the back end.
