As it stands, goalies score the same amount of points as the players drafted around them.

I think if you went to .25 for saves, people would be playing without goalies.

Let’s say your goalie gives up 3 goals on 30 shots and loses.

That’s a total score of 0.75.

Pekka Rinne won the Vezina last year. His season score would be 446.5, the same as the players of all positions on the waiver wire. Why even roster them with the risk involved? It would make more sense to just leave every goalie on the wire and only stream them for choice matchups.

This is true.

This is true.

I double checked the math, it’s 458.5, doesn’t change anything but worth noting.

Like IU said, everything is double, nothing has changed other than the addition of blocks. Hits are standard this year. And the addition of blocks is good because we’d have the same “problem” as last year with defensemen valuation.

The goalie scoring if fine, the penalty for doing badly is plenty as is.

I pulled up last year's scoring, here is a side by side comparison. The right side is the relative difference, based on almost everything being doubled.

So wins are worth less and saves are worth slightly more. Overall, not that big a difference.

Example stat line - W, 2 GA, 35 saves

Last year: 4+2+7 = 9 points
Relative to this year (x2) = 18 points
This year: 6-4+17.5 = 19.5 points

Almost no difference.

Right, which in last year's terms would be 1.5. With last year's scoring, it's -0.2.

The difference is minuscule.

My point is a goalie that gives up 7 goals and doesn’t get the W should have a significant negative number.

Very. I slightly altered a few things I thought were worth more(SHP), and doubled the other stuff, basically.

Also, the goalie stuff looks alright in relation to last year. I did it mainly because a goalie who makes 45 saves and allows like 1 or maybe 2 goals, but still gets a loss, should be rewarded for that, IMO. At least if I remember right from when I was going through setting up the scoring.
