I'm in the final of my league now and Faulk is on my team, he is important to my team in terms of shots and penalties, anyone have any word down there in Carolina if he is drawing back in tonight? I can't seem to get any solid info anywhere else on the net.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Don't have hits in my league but I have a friend who has him in a league with hits and he told me that too.

The offensive production is not what we would like but he sure helps other ways doesn't he?

He's a factor on my team for sure.....................I need him back, now!!

This is probably the best thread I can post this in. Can you guys give me some insight into Hurricanes players who made their NHL debut last season? Specifically what type of player they are, if they have an NHL future and what role they project as in the long-term. Thanks!

Janne Kuokkonen
Nicolas Roy
Roland McKeown
Warren Foegele

Foegele is tied with Zykov for first callup. One of the two will likely make the roster out of camp.

McKeown is probably competing with Carrick for 7D, he looked good last year and would probably be a bottom pairing guy if we had roster space.

Roy will spend most of the year in Charlotte.

Kuokkanen will spend most of the year in Charlotte.

McKeown - upside is a top 4 dman. Hard to say what style of player he's going to end up as since he's not really a points producer and yet his 10 game stint saw him with 3 points. Seems like a fairly typical 2-way type guy that won't put up massive numbers but has a solid outlet pass.

Foegele - for sure PK specialist, upside may be a good bit higher. Led the AHL in non-PP goals this past season and got quite a few on the PK. He already projects as an excellent bottom 6 guy and with his speed his upside could be higher.

Roy - 3rd line C, likely has a better skillset then that but needs to get his skating up to even close to average if he's going to reach it.

Kuokkanen - wildcard of the group. Has the most dynamic skillset and projects as a top 6 winger, but also has the biggest bust potential in the group by a good bit.

How many starts do you guys expect Mrazek to get this year?

Just picked him up as an FA...Got Gibson and Schneider as my other goalies but need to make up some starts while Schneider is out.

Darling's supposed to be out the first couple weeks so I'd expect him to see probably 5 of the first 7 unless he struggles and McBackup is lights out.

No idea on season total, best guess was him to be the 1B to Darling so around 30ish?

I am doing a draft late tonight (points only pool). It looks like you have a lot of good young players. I was wondering if the following players are likely to stay up with the team (that is my biggest fear in drafting these players) for the year and what fans project them at this year looking at:
Necas
Foegele
Zykov
Svechnikov
From what I have been reading, Necas and Svechnikov are expected to crack 40 points and Zykov and Foegele are expected to crack 30 points...does that sound reasonable.
THANKS!

Chances of staying all year (in order):
Svech
Zykov
Necas
Foegele

My guess for point totals:
Svech: 45
Necas: 35
Zykov: 30
Foegele: 25

Important to note: all of that above is probably wrong.

What is Jaccob Slavin point potential and likely power play time. I note he lead the canes in preseason scoring.

Slavin will go as the team goes. He’s the #1D. When the team is scoring 4 goals a game, as in the preseason, you see the results (8 points in 4 games). If the Canes offense goes stale then Slavin isn’t Karlsson, he’s not going to put the team on his back offensively.

Right now Slavin leads the league preseason in PP Points (tied w Barzal - 6). While I don’t expect that to be a thing, it is worth noting that Slavin didn’t get much PP time last year. He did finish top-25 in 5v5 points tied with more offensively regarded talents like Werenski, Krug, Barrie, Rielly, etc.
