    Just wanted to point this out for anyone who's interested. @1968NHLtweets is a twitter account (with which I have no connection) that reports on NHL news from exactly 50 years ago, as if it were happening today.

    Example from this morning:



    Very cool way to have a real-time experience of hockey history, especially for that below-the-surface dive into the details of how all those stats and award votes came to be.

    There was a 1967 account too. I'm not sure if that account turned into the 1968 account or if it was an account that stopped posting after awhile.

    I think the one account is based on “50 years ago”, so it would have flipped from 67 to 68.

    13,000 seats on LI in 1928 is insane! I mean when they built Nassau in 1972 it sat 14,600

    By comparison the Forum sat 9,300 in 1928 and could squeeze 12,000+ with SRO
