Radiohead’s first two albums were mostly too soft and went nowhere IMHO. They didn’t become great until OK ComputerNo it’s not, it was just played way too much on radio.

Yeah, a lot of people love The Bends, but I find it very annoying to listen to, personally, outside of maybe Street Spirit?Radiohead’s first two albums were mostly too soft and went nowhere IMHO. They didn’t become great until OK Computer
Valerie is a freking gem. It took me years to realize this.

I didn’t know that. HahaMy guess is that any hate towards it is because of the popular early 2000s remix that someone did that just looped the chorus over and over again and then had the music video set in an exercise class with gratuitous female butt shots. It's no wonder if people are tired of it and think that the song is a joke... and if you're under 35, you were probably first exposed to the remix and its video, essentially spoiling the original song for you.
Here you go. If it ruins Valerie forever for you, you're welcome.I didn’t know that. Haha
Any 80's kid that claims they wouldn't be able to sing along to "Kokomo" or "We didn't start the fire" is lying.
Posturing at HFBoards? No way!I suspect that a lot of the hate for songs like these comes from posturing, tbh. They're perfectly fine songs that nobody would blink at if they came from some obscure band.
Shocked that Turbo Lover by Judas Priest has yet to be mentioned.
