The Boston Bruins have traded forward Rich Peverley and Toronto 2011 first round pick to the Phoenix Coyotes for forward Shane Doan and the rights to defenseman Ed Jovanovski.

Shane is a tremendous leader and a very talented player. There's no doubt that he will be a great fit in our team. We hope to be able to get Ed under contract before the beginning of free agency. We would also like to wish Rich the best of luck with his new team.

Philadelphia Flyers GM Modo is pleased to announce that the team has acquired Roberto Luongo from the Vancouver Canucks, in exchange for Jeff Carter, Braydon Coburn, prospect Eric Wellwood, and a first round pick in 2012.

The Flyers also receive prospect Jordan Schroeder from Vancouver, along with defenseman Aaron Rome, and a 2nd round pick in 2012.

We feel that with a fresh start, away from that hysterical Vancouver media, Roberto can calm down, and produce above expectations behind a very solid Flyers team.
