SIGN GORDON

The Montreal Canadiens have signed forward Boyd Gordon to a three years contract worth $2,000,000 per season.

It's not every day that an elite 4th line liner becomes available, especially without giving any asset. Sure, we had to pay a lot but it has to be expected in free agency. Gordon will be part of a very deep group of forwards, on what we consider the best 4th line in the NHL with fan favourite Brandon Prust and Travis Moen who should rebound after a difficult season.

Teemu's back!

The Winnipeg Jets are very excited to announce that we have agreed to terms with former Jet, Teemu Selanne. We are thrilled to bring him back into the fold and have him retire in the jersey he started his NHL career in. We fully expect another 76 goal season from Teemu next season. Contract terms are for one year at $4M.

We're also pleased to announce we've agreed to a 4 year, $15M contract with center Tyler Bozak which includes a LNTC. We feel that Tyler gives us much needed center depth and allows us to bring prospect Mark Scheifele along slowly in the AHL this upcoming season.

Tampa Bay has signed unrestricted free agent center Stephen Weiss to a seven year deal worth $35 million, with a cap hit of 5.0 per season and a full no-movement clause. "Lightning fans are obviously going to be very familiar with Stephen due to the amount of times he has competed against our team over the last decade or so. He possesses tremendous acceleration, two-way instincts and scoring ability. When on top of his game, he's creative and makes his teammates around him better. He's someone we feel can consistently score 20+ goals and 60+ points and settle in as a 2nd or 3rd line center, where ever we need him."
