Seen him ranked in the first round by some yet he doesn't get much talk, having a really good season in a USHL league that is tough to score in and taking the typical American hockey player NCAA route going to UConn next year. Anyone have more info on his game? Seems like a late bloomer as he was just an average player in the NMHL ( league below MHL ) and has never represented Russia internationally either.

I think he could become the 3rd best Russian in the draft (behind Pod and Dorofeyev). Like Dorofeyev, his decision-making when he has the puck and in the offensive zone is excellent. Few giveaways, great vision.

His defensive game and play without the puck is probably the worst in the top-60 though. He's headed to the NCAA next year though, so that -should- improve quickly.
