I can't figure out why this guy isn't consistently ranked in that #8-#10 range. Jarvis is so much better than the #12-#20 guys he's often compared to.

It might have something to do with Jarvis being ranked 25-30 before the season started. There's also a very strong bias towards the OHL this year with Byfield/Rossi/Perfetti/Quinn/Drysdale, but I'm thinking that this year's inflated OHL numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. I think Jarvis sneaks into the top 10.

I thought he should've gotten a lot more attention after his performance at Hlinka last year. The fact that he was pacing 2.5 ppg the last half of the WHL season is downright terrifying... he should be in the 5-7 range imo. Would be an absolute steal in the early/mid teens.

His profile reminds me a bit of Brayden Point in terms of being a shorter WHL guy who just produces so much without any real help.

My model has him at 5, but I think that was more about Jack O’Brien(who will climb next year) unlocking his skill set than Jarvis turning into a ninja.

Can be top 6 on a bad team after expansion or a team like Tampa.

Jarvis had 62 points in the final 26 games. (2.38 ppg). 27 goals in 26 games.

O’Brien had 20 points in the final 26 games (0.77 ppg). 11 goals in 26 games.

I think it’s safe to say Jarvis was pure ninja down the stretch irrespective of his supporting class. (Don’t get me wrong, O’Brien is a solid prospect...he just didn’t drive Jarvis)

#4 overall on my board

Only saw him live twice, both times in February( last games i attended or will attend anytime soon:() against the Rockets in Kelowna. Very entertaining player who earned 2nd star and 1st star though i would have given him the top spot in both. If he lands outside the 1st half of round 1 i'll be surprised and fully expect he makes some GM/scouting staff look real good.

If you have Jarvis in your top 10, what games did you watch that made you believe in Jarvis as a potential top offensive contributor in the NHL?

Not sold on the guy entirely.

I mean, Petan was also a very highly touted prospect too. Right now he's looking like he'll be a KHL superstar sometime in the future.

Another guy worth mentioning is Ty Rattie.

Apart from being WHLers, what do Nic Petan and Ty Rattie have in common with Seth Jarvis? The former two are average skaters at best while skating is one of Jarvis's biggest strengths.

Petan and rattie were also on stacked teams. Jarvis led his by 30 points

Exactly. I think his WHL comparable is more Brayden Point at the same age.

Similar size, both excellent skaters, fantastic hands, good two way play.
