He's attending the Saskatoon Blades training camp this week. Anyone see him play?

Saw him at Saginaw's rookie camp (who he was originally drafted by). Projects as a play maker that could thrive in time with a good sniper on his line. Good vision and crafty at times with the puck on his stick. Not really a big guy. Might take a year to adjust and get pushe around a bit before he gets stronger or refines his technique to be one step ahead of guys. Not gonna be a two way player IMO but plays good enough D that he won't be a liability in that department. Defiently has potential to be a top 6 forward in the CHL down the road.

He's doing well at Quebec Remparts camp. He said we was supposed to join the Portland WinterHawks but changed his decision after head coach Jamie Kompton was fired in April.

He's Igor's son of course.

He's taller than daddy (Igor Sr is 5'9 and Igor Jr is 6'0). But at 165 lbs, he needs to bulk up a bit.

His vision and passing ability are what really stands out when you see him play.

I'm a bit confused about him visiting different CHL teams like he's a free agent. Doesn't someone have his rights?

I really didn’t expect him to be a pro hockey player unless it was the ECHL. Looks like he’s doing well, good for him. #69, nice.

Well he has come a long way since i started to follow his career.
- since 2016, Torpedo is his 8th team that he has played for

3 different major junior leagues; QMJHL, OHL, USHL,
3 different pro leagues; VHL, Allsvenskan, KHL

He was never drafted to the NHL
Was 230th overall pick in the 2014 OHL Draft
Signed as an free-agent to the QMJHL
also to the OHL and USHL

then Try-Outs....

Now leads his KHL team in goals and is second in points

Never give up

It's been 7 games, I doubt he's going to continue to shoot 27%.

I'm rooting for him but it's a bit too early for a post like this.

It's almost like having his legendary father as a coach has motivated him to elevate his game...
Or having him as an agent allowed him to get multiple chances with teams he probably never would have made until he finally stuck. Probably has the best training in the world as well. Either way though, good for him. It’s early but if he can continue to have success, it’ll be a cool story of how he went from a mediocre CHL player to a legit pro in his family’s home country.

What I remember about him from his junior days is that he had the skills to be a good player but he was physically weak and he ended up being injured often.
