Makes sense.. basically the Rangers recent streak forced the management to get a deal done now.

Trading him now would've just been a big middle finger to everyone in the locker room, but at the same time the Rangers aren't in a position to let top 6 guys walk for nothing.

Which means Kreider had a lot of leverage here. Im expecting a good deal for him.
