Goalies: Excess leg pad straps

Especially regarding the bottom few: do you cut off the excess so they can't possibly trip you or just tuck them into the buckle?

Or something else?

My old pads were unruly, Usually tapped the extra back onto itself and onto the pad... But they were well worn in and from the 90's.

New ones I just tuck into the buckle, everything stays just fine. SUCKS stepping on boot straps while playing though

Folding back into the buckle is the best option IMO.

Fold them back. Makes them tidy, and makes them easier to take off, too - just pull on the end.

Thanks guys; that's what I do -- so much easier to take off after a game. But I always worry about them slipping out and tripping me at the worst time.

I cut mine to length after a few or so weeks of use so I know exactly what I like. Even better, I cut each using the first cut strap as a template so they all look the same, and they're all at the same hole so I don't have to remember 2-3-5-3-1 (from the end) and instead it's just 3-3-3-3-3, even though they're technically different lengths.
