Maybe I'm wrong, but I would've thought it was this scene:
Or perhaps:
BTW, the main villain in all 5 Dirty Harry films was white.
Just beats out Ape LincolnPlanet Of The Apes. Heston rides down the beach and sees the Statue of Liberty and realizes he's back on earth in the future.
Going to go with some horror here
Safe to say nobody that's seen this will ever forget it haha.
Jack Nicholson: Is this his most iconic scene ever?
Not sure if a TV series counts as a "franchise" but LOST has (at least) two:
Certainly the most iconic line, but I wonder if the most iconic scene isn't this one here...
Or this one...
This is a good call. I immediately heard the music as soon as I saw the picture. The most iconic single shot from the Star Wars series is probably this one:
I think this shot, more than any other, is used whenever someone writes an article about Star Wars. "I am your father" probably comes close, and a few others deserve mention (the Tantive IV screaming into view, "Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi") but I think this is more widely recognized.

What about when Chris Pratt rides a motorcycle with trained raptors?
Planet Of The Apes. Heston rides down the beach and sees the Statue of Liberty and realizes he's back on earth in the future.
