When they introduced dress code at my office I showed up in a bathrobe and that was the end of the dress code. The idea of a dress code is silly as long as it isn't for safety reasons.

Focus should be on the performance on the ice (6 straight losses I believe?), not sectarian team rules. A team should be supporting, not condemning.

If he really has been playing while injured all year, you can't blame him for saying FU to the Jets. He's been working hard on the ice (with good results, I might add), and then the team basically goes "nope, we don't want you here. You've been playing your ass off but we just don't like you."

What a bunch of BS. Kane has ignored medical advice in the past, and insisted on playing. Ex-coach Noel wanted to scratch him from a game due to an injury, and what does Kane do? He goes to the media and says he's perfectly healthy, and being deliberately benched by Noel. Noel was already on thin ice, and Kane had played a big part in his termination.

Kane was advised to get this surgery at the start of the season, but insisted on playing through the pain. How can the Jets stop him from playing? The big problem is management, determined to make Winnipeg a desirable place to play, despite the weather and small market, bent over backwards for Kane. In fact almost all sources from True North say they spent more time trying to help Kane with his off-ice issues, that all other Jets players combined.

The Jets organization treated Kane with kid gloves from day 1, ignoring all the off-ice problems he brought upon himself. Lets just take a look at some of those off-ice problems:

-fighting with teammates during practice
-not paying his tabs at upscale restaurants
-creeping local woman on social media in order to hook up
-possible gambling problem (always seen at Winnipeg casinos & trips to Las Vegas)
-posing with wads of cash, despite the lockout, and fans missing out on hockey
-benched 3 times by 2 coaches for attitude problems or breaking club rules
-rumors of fights in nightclubs in Winnipeg and Vancouver (pending lawsuit in VanCity)
-favoring tweets from fans on opposing teams wanting him to play for the Flyers and other teams

You obviously have no idea what is going down in WInnipeg. Kane insisted on playing injured, despite the Jets suggesting he take time off. Kane QUIT ON THE TEAM after the track suit incident. True North said he was a healthy scratch, and never mentioned anything about kicking him off the club.

Finally, to add insult to injury, Kane, who could have had the surgery done anytime since summer, decides to stick it to the Jets in the middle of a big playoff race, and now will have the surgery done. You can have him. He's been a cancer to the organization for nearly 4 years. Good riddance.

Look I am not here to defend Kane but

-not paying his tabs at upscale restaurants (TOTAL SPECULATION)
-creeping local woman on social media in order to hook up (was a fake Kane account and found to be false)
-rumors of fights in nightclubs in Winnipeg and Vancouver (pending lawsuit in VanCity) (Total speculation on the Winnipeg fights. The Vancouver incident was investigated by police and found no wrongdoing on Kanes part. Witnesses say that the ****** who got hit was the aggressor.)

There is enough reason to hate Kane at the moment. No need for the "my second cousin twice removed said he was in Moosejaw and saw Kane kick a puppy."

1) This story is fake
2) Your works wasn't really serious about a dress code
3) You work for your dad

I have works in a warehouse - no dress code.

I have worked as a bartender - dress code

I am now in software development - dress code.

If I showed at my current job wearing attire outside of the dress code, I would be sent home. The chances of my boss going "Your rebellious ways have shown me that the dress code is dumb" is literally zero. It's like that for A LOT of people. Hockey players fall into that category.

At this point, it's basically like someone staring at a hot element on the stove.....putting their hand on it, and then blaming the stove for burning them.

I understand where you're going with that, but in a salary cap world, that would just not happen.

I think dress codes, unless the ones prohibiting bad taste, are stupid. People skilled enough in their field can safely say "**** off" to dress codes to a certain extent. I mean, I know I did at some point (actually, that was even better -- dress code was just cancelled after my push).

But then again, the "professionnal world" vs. the "sports world" are two very different beasts and should not be comopared.

As for Kane getting a surgery now... I can only respect players who go through with injuries. We often hear stories about players that go through them (in the playoffs) and I'm kindof amazed each time. I mean, I could barely ... defecate ... when I ended up with broken ribs a few years ago. And those guys would take hits from 200+ pounds players AND block 90+ MPH shots?

I can't blame a player who opts for not playing injured when he isn't supported by his team (and teammates).

Evander has had attitude problems since his days in minor hockey. Anyone that was around him and his family during that time will tell you the same thing...very selfish player and a toxic personality.

He needs to figure his **** out and fast, because he's a hell of a player on the ice and a treat to watch.
