And this competition is more competitive than the world cup... sure thing Euro fans.
Rep of Ireland
It was before the expansion. Let's see how the new expanded World Cup will look with 48 teams..at that point the Euro may once again be more competitive.
It's getting really difficult for mediocre teams to not qualify.
Ya. Almost half of the confederation qualifies for the tournament.
If they go down this road (not saying they should...), then scratch the final stage as it is and take the CL route: group stage with home and away games, knockout stage with home and away games. There is no use in having a host if a ton of meh to eh games is what they get to host.
Oh UEFA and their PDFs
Used to be.
Not the case since the new format.
Nah still doesn't make sense given that some power house teams aren't european.
Not really. But let's not get back to that subject.
Sweden ended up in a tough group, but we usually do and still usually qualifies. Also, going to be exciting and tight games against Norway.
I'm not sure that I understand how this goes; :if England, Holland, Portugal and Switzerland all make it to top two of their qualifying-groups who qualifies then via the nations league?
