I don't have anything special to say about this match. If France contains Ronaldo aerially, I like their chances.

France are the better team. But it won't be easy. Portugal might be playing as the underdogs for the first time in this Euro, let's see how they deal with that.

I wonder if Quaresma will start this time.

Also, William and Pepe should be back.

    Portugal is well organized defensively.

It think this final will be closer than expected

If France can keep Ronaldo in check, they win. I think Portugal is going to heavily play Ronaldo at the goal and either force France to commit fouls or Ronaldo will score.

I like what I've seen from France in their past 2.5 games. Can't see how Portugal could answer them.

Barring Ronaldo having a monster game, I predict 2-0 game for the hosts.

Most teams have shut down Ronaldo in this tournament, so I can't see why France can't.

That said, the real problem is in their heads. They're clearly the better teams, they have the better players, more balanced and they're at home.
They're heavy favourites, and after beating the World Champs, everyone expects them to win, which is a huge trap.

They'll have to be mentally tough.

Man, if Ronaldo wins a continental or World cup for his country first before Messi ever does...

I think Portugal plays this game much like they did vs Croatia. Sit back play tight D and wait for theyre opportunity.

They will play the long ball a lot and with Ronaldo and sanches might beable to get behind the French D. This game will be closer then many think.

Portugals Back line with Pepe and Rafael are very good and the midfield play has been good as well. If only they can connect the passes in the final third and finish Portugal can win this game.

Well, if Portugal contains Griezmann they also have a good chance. It's not like France have been world beaters.

Since the 2nd half vs Ireland they've been easily the best team of the tournament.

France have been very much in form. I think a lot of people would agree that Portugal have been out of form.

However, that could all easily get thrown out the window in the vacuum of one match.

    I'm picking France.

This could have been the QF match if Iceland didn't net that late winner on match day 3.

Pulling for the home nation in this one.

Lol. That is not anything like Greece 2004. Portugal is actually pretty good team and it wouldnt be huge surprise if they won it all.

They have a lot more talent to do it with; but they have been playing like Greece 2004 in a lot of matches.

Portugal should have been out at the group stage.

Significant chunks of the Poland match as well...though there they certainly showed more initiative than against Croatia...which were the only two matches they've had where they weren't the bigger side. And even in the group matches and against Wales, they were far too content to just fall back without possession; rarely pressing aggressively, and relying on rapid counter-style attacks over the patient possession game they have the personnel for.

I'm expecting Santos to similarly park a bus against France.
