A mod can delete this if needed but I didn't see it posted anywhere.

According to Michael Kim ESPNNEWS will broadcast todays PA pressconference at 4:00 EST.

Other things on ESPNews in the near future - right now they have Hradek and some other dude on who are live at the NHLPA press conference set-up.

At 3:40 est they'll have Scott Gomez on, both to talk about the things going on today and they're little 50 States in 50 Days promotion, which is in Alaska today.

They'll also do some analysis work after the press conference.

looks like ESPN told the NHL to f off

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2113650

"We have ongoing conversations with the NHL on a number of different topics," ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said. "It was expressed from our end that this was not something we were interested in televising.

"It never went any further than that," he said.

It didn't matter, the NHL basically told ESPN to screw off after ESPN said they did more to promote hockey than anyone. (Which of course is only true because they were the only ones showing hockey). But that's fine, ESPN can keep showing "street ball" and the rest fo their junk programming. I for one won't miss them

Can ESPN work any harder at telling the NHL to get lost? If the NHL ends up going to them for a TV deal, it will be awful. The NHL would probably be better served by turning their back on ESPN and trying something new and different at this point. How many times do you need to be slapped around before you figure out that they don't really like you at all?
