I'm surprised about how alone I seem to be with this but my only gripe with sports betting is that it isn't legal in California. If it were I would certainly participate, was hopeful when it was on the ballot last year and I was telling my family who doesn't give a shit to vote to pass those props but it didn't. Don't know that I'd call it an inherent good for these sports/leagues but I for one support the rise of sports gambling.Oh man, if you thought sports gambling ads were bad now, wait for when the network has a direct financial stake in that degeneracy versus merely a somewhat indirect one.
I swear, this stuff is making me actively think against exposing my five year-old to sports broadcasts whereas that would've been unthinkable to me when he was born.

Indigenous casinos run the gambling scene here and heavily lobbied against itThat surprises me given how much money the state could rake in if they legalized it.

All I know is every ad I saw related to the props was telling people to vote no and highlighting how it would hurt their communityDo they have significant political influence? All situations are different but the bolded didn't prevent NY, Connecticut or Indiana from legalizing sports betting.
