I don't think he's considered a 'prospect' by HF but i wonder if this guy could be good enough for the NHL .

He could have been recalled only because him and St.Louis are pals but he was the best scorer of his team in the AHL so ...

He was signed because he and St. Louis are pals. He would have been called up sooner but there were zero injuries. They probably want to see what he can do and give him some time in the playoffs.
They were quite the duo in Vermont though:
Perrin : 256 pts, 141 games
St. Louis: 267 pts, 139 games

its also odd to see their production.

Year 1 - around 50 pts each
Year 2 - around 55 pts each
Year 3 - around 85 pts each
Year 4 - around 55 pts each

Odd how they peaked in year 3 and came back down in year 4.
