Leafs have cap, it's really not an issue. I would have him as the fifth centre and fifth right winger. Leafs don't really have NHL depth at centre in case of injury so I would rather keep him around and let Aaltonen start in the AHL. If needed changes can be made later.

I'm not worried about Moore.

Yeah, he sucked in pre-season. He was solid last year with BOS and he's proven that he can be a useful fourth line guy. I'm sure he'll be okay. If not, they can try replacing him with Fehr or someone else.

Martin is the guy I'd really like to not have as a permanent player. I don't mind him and I think he should play some guys, but he really doesn't need to be a regular.

Moore isn’t getting waived based on 4 or 5 preseason games. He’ll be given 10 games minimum to start the year.

Moore signed a 1yr/1mill $ contract...in other words its nothing. If the leafs feel like keeping Fehr over Moore, Im sure they will do it.

If the thought process by management is that Moore is the 4C, the silver lining of Fehr having a good camp is:

1. They can trade him for an asset (albeit minor)
2. If they waive him, he will likely get claimed and we get a contract spot/cap space

Either Fehr or Leivo will have to make the team or get waived. Moore, on the other hand, can be buried in the Marlies and be called up if fehr is sucking or is injured

I'd keep him as the 13th forward if we can not find a good trade.

Then figure out a trade to get Leivo into an NHL lineup (Leafs or otherwise), and deal Rychel as well or keep him as a 13th/14th forward.

Unfortunately, it seems like Soshnikov and Kapanen are going to be in the AHL next year, at least to start. Maybe a team is willing to pay something for Soshnikov, but unlikely. Not unless they want a good depth forward for their AHL team who can be ready to contribute half way through the year or at the start of next year (or they are really desperate for bottom 6 wingers with skill and speed).

Solid pre-season but doesn't seem to be thought of as a C. Unfortunately easier to get lost in the shuffle as a winger here. Maybe traded, likely waived. Probably a tough cap hit to absorb at this point for a team for free.
