Feel like if goalies figure out he goes shelf on the glove side he might be stopped a lot. Did the same thing to Rittich the other night though, but it's not like an Ovi one timer.

He adjusts his shots on what he sees. Like what you just said, Quick literally did in the shootout - covers top shelf glove side and Petey tucks in under his glove.

There was a game earlier this season where he's hammering the puck on the net on the powerplay, first shot he picks glove side top shelf, can't remember if it hits post or just rebounds off the goalie, then the puck rings around to him again and he picks blocker side top shelf and scores.

It's amazing watching him hammer top bar and in game after game and both his wrister and slapper are lasers.

And maybe the nuttiest thing about him is that he's a better playmaker than shooter, just incredible vision and passing. This aspect has been utterly wasted on this version of the Canucks though.

2.) No, if he were just whaling away he wouldn't be so reliable, and he'd probably hit crest/pad more often. He's still picking corners, and not generally missing by miles either.
3.) No, his shootout percentage is poor because he stickhandles more, and his bag of breakaway tricks isn't all that great. He's got a few different tools for getting around defensemen but only one or two shootout "moves" that open up his shot 1 on 1. Also, his stickhandling looks choppier when his feet aren't moving, Generally he gets more successful when he cuts out some of the "deception", walks into the slot from an angle and tries to pick an opening.

He is working hard to lower his SH%. In his last 10 games he has 3 goals on 27 shots, which is only 11.1%

It's 28,3% but that will obviously go down and he'll continue at around 15%, which is still very good.
