...Probably? His SHL scoring is a bit too impressive for one to think otherwise. Still, I would like to see what he can do in WJC-20s.

I'm sure there are some YT clips you can check out ;)

He did kinda break out in the second half of last year, but obviously hasn't maintained. He's painfully unselfish. He works his butt off to set people up. With a team that had some more natural scoring his numbers would probably be better. His shot doesn't scare anyone at this point.

I also think he would be a better offensive player at center, but the team...the fanbase...and apparently even he disagrees with me. I read or heard something about him feeling more comfortable on wing. He's pretty good on draws.

At his best he's pesky with a quick stick, ridiculous passing skills and stickhandling for possession/playmaking. Good two way player overall too.

I think he's at best a 50-60 pt guy, but that may be for a more offensive team.

Assuming we're talking about Elias Lindholm the Carolina Hurricane.

He'll get hot and end up with 40 points in his final ~60 games. A streak of PPG for about 15 or 20 games in there.

I think what you see is what you get at this point. Not sure why the Canes rushed him.
Thats been a huge issue with the Canes overall over the years. A lack of depth and money leaves them rushing guys who had no business making it. Skinner blew the doors off - fine though I think he would've been better off growing up a little more. Lindholm did nothing in preseason to suggest he was ready. I think it hurt his growth, though I think sometimes he's overcoming it now.

And its a shame, because his release is pretty nasty. He may have already set the record for most goalie stick knobs hit in his short career.

He’s not going to break into being a #1C, if that’s what you mean.

He’s a solid middle-6 winger, can play C when called upon. Would probably be a good support player next to a star, but he won’t get that opportunity for the foreseeable future so that just is what it is.

At the end of the day he’ll likely be a reliable, rounded 50-60 point winger which is not a bad get at #5.

Sounds like Marcus Johansson. He was a pretty good player for the Caps, but part of the fanbase hated him because he never became a real first line winger.

Very much underrated and still has a lot of upside. Always liked his game.

He'll be a good player for a long time. How's it going with Victor Rask? I seem to remember that he was benched a game or two not that long ago.

Any way, the lack of really high end or elite offensive talent is what's holding back the Canes as of now. They seem pretty set other than that. Good d, pretty solid depth up front.

Not well. Could need a change of scenery, or could be that he really is just not that good of a hockey player. 40-45 is a good year. We expected some growth from him this year after falling off the face of the earth a quarter of the way through the season last year, but he's continued being useless.

Elias Lindholm used to have an über confidence playing in the SHL.

Now he seems to have lost it all and instead plays like a robot, who has been instructed to just do everything as simple as possible.

Heck, he played QB:ish on the blue line on the PP as a 17 year old, walking the blue line with confidence.

Now he can hardly even walk to Bed, Bath and beyond with confidence.

He was really good after ~Christmas last season, but that hasn’t carried over to this campaign. Not to absolve him from individual blame, but linemates are an issue. He’s a different player next to Aho than he is next to Skinner. The problem is that the same goes for Teravainen and there’s only one spot available on that line. Teravinen has gotten most of the ice time and to his credit, has taken advantage of it. Lindholm has been relegated to playing with Skinner, who barely lets him handle the puck.
