Elbow pads

I need help getting some elbow pads, we don't have any local pro shops so going try some on really isn't an option.

When I ordered all my gear I got the Easton S19 elbow pads from hockey monkey on clearance, I've tried them on but they just seem a little to bulky for me. I have thin arms, and am only playing adult league so I don't need that much protection and they seem to restrict movement too much.

I'd like something smaller than the S19, but still offers some protection on the forearms. I've looked at the Sherwood 5030's but I don't know if that will be too little protection. :help:

I hate to be general about fit, since it's a specific attribute that you have to find out yourself. But I'll try to help anyways:
Rbk Fitlite line, like this 6K and the 9K are very good quality pads:

Bauer Vapor series generally make slimmer pads:

Might even consider Warrior pads...you have a lot of options :)

Thanks for the help -the 6k look good, and pretty cheap...

How are they as far as size of the pad in general- the S19 is very large, my jersey is tight around them in the sleeve (forearm area) and I think that is what makes me feel like my movement is restricted.

I know it's hard to get a good feel for the pads without trying them but it's what I have to do. I'm hoping the next paid I get fit right and I can sell the S19s on ebay or something.

A lot of people seem to really like these pads:

They look bulky when you're not wearing them, but when you have them on they fit pretty close and are on the lower bulk side, pretty mobile too. All modern elbow pads are reasonably bulky/annoying/restrictive though, you can just hope to minimize the downsides, they're always gonna sort of suck.

One thing about price is that, if you can avoid it, don't buy current lineup gear online, as it's more expensive and not necessarily better. Look for those on closeout like the 6K.

Check out this channel for a bit of visual indication of how some pads might fit. Great online store too btw.

After looking at a bunch of different brands, reading the reviews, watching the videos- it seems like you hit it on the head, most look pretty restrictive. If I do end up getting another pair I may go for the 6k since they are pretty cheap and if they aren't what I like I can hopefully sell them and not be out of pocket too much.

If I had to get new pads, it'd probably be those CCM's. I use old Jofa pro elbows which are awesome because I have the opposite problem of you, large arms for my size. But a buddy has the older CCM's and he's a stick and they work great. They have a good strap system.

Another thing you can do is just hike up your jersey around your elbows. That's what I do for a little more mobility and better air flow. Kind of like Latendresse here:
