Marner-Pettersson-Tkachuk would be one hell of a line.

Eichel-Aho-Hischier down the middle would be elite as well but doesn’t jump out at me the same way that top line does.

I also believe Hughes is better than Dahlin currently, and while I do expect Dahlin to catch up and surpass him as he gets older, he’s the perfect guy to be feeding passes to that top line.

It's true that J.T. Miller does take the faceoffs. However, once the puck drops Pettersson does occupy the center role on the ice while Miller plays on the wing.

Nico is a better player than his stats indicate as not a single player on NJ has a positive CF%.

I would take team A quite easily going forward.

Neither has Tkachuk, who has normally played with Backlund and Frolik/Mangiapane 5v5. Hischier played almost as many minutes 5v5 with Taylor Hall this season as Tkachuk has played with Gaudreau in his career.

I'm not underrating Eichel. He's somewhere in the middle of this group of forwards, despite being the oldest.

Ahead of what? Hughes? Maybe, but that wouldn't change that group B is better, and honestly, putting Dahlin even equal to Hughes right now was very generous. And Dahlin is only 6 months younger than Hughes.

Personally right now I’d give the edge to Eichel, though during the same age Eichel was not playing as well as Pettersson.

The upcoming years should be interesting for all players in this poll.
