EHEC has begun its seventh season. We sim the NHL schedule in real-time (day by day), which provides an unparalleled realistic experience. Our staff works extremely hard to keep up the standards that we set back in 2009. We have a fun and competitive environment for our all GMs, and our happy to help new members learn the game.

We have accounted for realignment this season, have up-to-date NHL/AHL affiliations, and have created real-life draft classes every off-season. We feature a detailed rulebook, financial system, and a General Manager Office where you can make changes to your team which are instantly in-putted into the game file using the GM Office software. Demote, recall, change positions, move staff, change training are just some of the features built into our GM Office software.

Apply here: http://www.ehechockey.com/application.php

Here are the available teams:

COLORADO AVALANCHE (2-1-1 - 5 PTS - 2nd in Central Division)
The Avs have been a bottom feeding rebuilding for the last 3 years or so, but made a mjaor shakeup this past off-season. A young core has been re-enforced with some veteran additions, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was acquired in a block buster deal.
Core players: RNH, Gabriel Landeskog, Matt Duchene, Connor Murphy and Marc Staal

EDMONTON OILERS (1-4-0 - 2 PTS - 6th in Pacific Division)
Edmonton has made regular post-season apperances since EHEC's inception; however, they ave failed to make a signifcant run each season. The Pacific division is a tough division, and cap troubles have made this seasons outlook even more dimmer. The Oilers appear a crossroads right now but still have signifcant assets.
Core players: Michael Frolik, Luke Schenn, Nazem Kadri, and Thomas Vanek

As we near the end of October, EHEC has a few openings to fill. Contenders and re-builders are available, so apply today!

http://www.ehechockey.com/application.php

COLORADO AVALANCHE (2-6-0 - 4 PTS - 6th in Central Division)

While in years past the Avs has been locked into a bottom feeder spot, they have taken steps in the right direction the last two seasons. Despite constantly missing the post-season, they appear to be a piece or two away from getting into the playoffs. Perfect for a manager who wants to put his own stamp on a team, but not completely tear it down. Possesses their 2015 1st round draft pick.

Core players: Simeon Varlamov, Gabriel Landeskog, Drew Doughty and Matt Duchene

WASHINGTON CAPITALS (4-2-1 - 9 PTS - 5th in Metropolitan Division)

The Caps have made the post-season in all five years of EHEC. However, they have struggled to find post-season success against the bigger power house teams. The Capitals could go either way, add a few pieces and make a Cup run or tear it down and rebuild within. They have many valuable assess, any GM would be lucky to take over a perennial contender like the Capitals. Possesses their 2015 1st round draft pick.

Core players: Pavel Datsyuk, Morgan Rielly, Zach Parisé and Andrei Markov

EDMONTON OILERS (4-4-0 - 8 PTS - 2nd Wildcard Position)

This Oilers squad is a dream for any new GM to run. Unlike their real life counterparts, Edmonton has put themselves into a position to contend after a flurry of moves this off-season. After four straight seasons of missing the playoffs, the Oilers cashed in on some of their youth for proven NHL talent. If you want a team that makes you a instant Stanley Cup contender, the Oilers are for you. They do not possess their 1st round draft pick this season.

Core players: Michael Frolík, Luke Schenn, Nazem Kadri, and Zdeno Chara

Update...

WINNIPEG JETS (46-24-9 - currently 2nd in Central Division)
The Jets are a Stanley Cup contender with the post-season right around the corner. They are a young team but this core has made deep playoff run before. Perfect for the GM who wants an instant contender.
Core players: Pietrangelo, Bogosian, Couturier & Jack Campbell

FLORIDA PANTHERS (34-39-5 - 6th in NorthEast Division)
It was a tough year for Florida; they have a talented group but failed to meet expectations. They have made the playoffs a number of times, but failed to advance. The Panthers could look to rebuild or retool.
Core players: John Gibson, Petter Granberg, Hemsky & Connor Brickley & Mikael Granlund

I can confirm that EHEC is the bee's knees and you should consider joining if you have any interest in freeware EHM.

I'd be interested in joining if i could see rosters

Luckily, you can see them all on the website: http://www.ehechockey.com.

Fill in an application here: http://www.ehechockey.com/application.php

This offseason, the Buffalo Sabres and Florida Panthers are available. Both teams missed the playoffs but have some talented players to build around. Buffalo is led by Malkin while Florida owns the #5 pick in the upcoming (2017) entry draft. Act now and you'll be able to join the drafting action!

Open teams: 2

BUFFALO SABRES (did not make playoffs)
They are usually in post-season, but this year has failed to do so. A good kernel that, with a little re-tooling, could be back for a cup.
Core Players: Evgeni Malkin, Jakub Voracek, Drew Stafford & Zach Kassian

FLORIDA PANTHERS (did not make playoffs)
The most deprived team in the league. Never had a GM who took care of the list or stayed long enough to make a difference. There are excellent young pieces. Need love; Good for those who like a challenge.
Core Players: John Gibson, Peter Granberg, Ales Hemsky & Connor Brickley

Do you miss the old and much more sensible division structure and playoff structure and feel like getting your slow burn hockey simulation needs fulfilled? Well, EHEC is the place for you. We're midway through our ninth season in real time, having started in 2009 with freeware EHM. More importantly, we're back to three divisions per conference and slightly more realistic settings. We have three teams available and the trade deadline is looming so check us out and fill out an application. Available teams include:

The Minnesota Wild, headlined by Eichel, Duchene, Yakupov and Provorov. A perrennial bottom-feeder, the Wild have young talent and are virtually guaranteed a lottery pick in a deep draft, so they're an excellent choice for a 1-2 year rebuild.
The New Jersey Devils, featuring Ryan Murray, Jordan Staal, Johansen and Kessel. The Devils are a deep team on the decline mainly from a lack of top-end talent, but they do have some reasonably priced mid-tier forwards. With four picks in the first two rounds, the Devils have plenty of flexibility in revamping their roster.
Ottawa Senators, led by Spezza, Tavares, Kane and Phaneuf. The Senators have posted three straight 100+ point seasons, and while they're well off that pace this season, they absolutely have the personnel to turn things around in a hurry.

I'd be interested in taking over ottawa. But how do the ceilings/ratings all work? Does the commish just do them himself? 3rd party?

We're an open file league so you can have a look at them for yourself by clicking on any team's page and viewing their roster: EHEC - Eastside Hockey's Elite Collide

And there's a secret hack to get a sortable table for the whole file: EHEC - Eastside Hockey's Elite Collide

We started out in 2009 with a file done by a freeware EHM legend and, well, you can debate how accurate those were. Since then we've created a new draft class every offseason, trying to balance realism and fun. I think the last two drafts worked out pretty well but of course we don't get every rating right.

Can you believe that EHEC has finished its ninth season and is headed for a tenth? Well, you might not care yet, but we do have an entry draft coming up in a few days and two open spots for GMs.

The Pittsburgh Penguins were a perennial powerhouse and won back-to-back cups in 2013 and 2014, but fell on hard times this season after some questionable trades. Still, they have the #8 and #30 picks in the upcoming draft and some talented but aging forwards to build around.
The Arizona Coyotes were also a model of consistency, winning a championship in 2011 and putting up 7 straight seasons between 111 and 114 points. Last season saw them dip to a still-respectable 95 points, but they have two studs in Steven Stamkos and Oliver Ekman-Larsson to build around, and - thanks to an astute trade - the #2 overall pick. Will you draft Andrei Svechnikov and have him learn under Pavel Datsyuk's wizened tutelage? Only you can decide!

Fill in an application and join us.

EHEC is back in action! We're midway through the preseason on a brand new and easy-to-remember domain: EHEC - Eastside Hockey's Elite Collide. We have several openings for prospective GMs. Have a look at our application page for details.

For those of you without much freeware EHM experience, there's no need to worry. If you've played NHL:EHM or FHM, you'll catch on quickly enough. All team management can be done through our convenient web interface so you don't even need to download EHM at all.

We simulate using the original EHM Freeware and simulate one league day for every one real life day. This allows us to input real life draftee's each year. The league is was founded in 2009 and is currently running its 10th season. There are still 7 GMs for the original Season 1 participating in the league.

While player development has diverged slightly from real life, the league remains incredibly realistic and accurate for how long it has been running. At this point, EHEC must be considered the greatest EHM league of all time.
