Beat the heck out of red deer yet again.
More fighting majors the last few games, i think other teams are getting frustrated that they cannot hang with the oil kings

Anyone have an opinion on the caliber of our division compared and if there are other teams that can challenge the Kings? No one in this division can compete.

Sunday, March 21 results:

Colby Knight (1-0) made 16 saves in his first WHL game and was named first star, as the Oil Kings royally whacked the Rebels 5-2. Scott Atkinson (named second star) and Josh Williams had a goal and an assist. Ethan Cap, Kaid Oliver and Tyler Horstmann (GWG) each potted one. Carter Souch (named third star), Dylan Guenther and Jake Neighbours had 2 assists with Carson Latimer and Logan Dowhaniuk each had a helper.

Shots were 36-18 Edmonton. PP was 0/3, PK 3/3. OKs won 34 of 65 faceoffs.

Friday, March 26th results:

Jalen Luypen had 2 goals, an assist and was named first star as the Oil Kings gooed up the guns of the Hitmen 4-3. Carson Latimer (second star) had a goal and an assist. Josh Williams had the GWG on the PP. Liam Keeler (third star) added 2 assists, with Ethan Cap and Jake Neighbours adding an assist. Sebastian Cossa (W 7-0) made 26 saves. Shots were 31-29 Edmonton. PP was 1/3, PK 2/2. OKs won 34 of 58 faceoffs.

Doesn't matter because we won't be playing anyone else, so we'll never know.

Because of the Calgary covid protocol, the Central Division has been shortened.

Lethbridge Hurricanes – 24
Edmonton Oil Kings – 23
Medicine Hat Tigers – 23
Red Deer Rebels – 23
Calgary Hitmen – 21

Same with the BC division with the covid shutdown of all games in Kelowna.

Kamloops Blazers – 22
Kelowna Rockets – 16
Prince George Cougars – 22
Vancouver Giants – 22
Victoria Royals – 22
