Sure, get real here. How long did it take for Mario Lemieux to win a Cup? Ovechkin?

McDavid isn't being wasted in Edmonton. It's hard on snowflakes like yourself that he is in Edmonton but there is nothing you can do about it.

We have the two best players in the NHL on our roster. The Oilers time is coming.
With this current GM it may be a long while.. he is too reluctant to pull the trigger . Also there was no salary cap era with Mario so totally not applicable. These days we see good and great players go there whole career without a cup... joe Thornton..iginla

How long did it take Bourque or Hasak to win a cup. Oh ya i forget they had to be traded to have it happen.
Don't count your chickens .

Tatar makes three times what Coleman does, for starters.

It’s not about fair. It’s what we are willing to give up. Habs fans can demand whatever they want until
they’re blue in the face.
We are not demanding anything. If you want him pony up or get off the pot because well just keep him.

You might be right, but Holland is light years better than Chiarelli. We have to recover from years of mismanagement. So an absence of knee jerk trades that the Oilers handily lose seems to be a thing of the past.

The narrative from people who don't really know what they are talking about is that Edmonton can't draft unless it is a top 3 pick. In fact, they've drafted really well the last few years and it is starting to show dividends. The Oiler's defense is stacked with good players both in the NHL and in the system. It is the forward position that we are thin on, although Yamamoto has everything we could've hoped for and Benson is starting to find his way at the NHL. That's really good from a system development standpoint.

The team is really starting to come together. I think they're rated at 94% to make the playoffs. The Oilers make one or two acquisitions.. they might even do some damage there.

Well said...you can't undue the damage Pistol Pete did over night...I still get funny dreams thinking about where this team could be if Mr. Havard didn't have his finger prints on it...
