    Calgary

Milan Lucic $6.0 AAV 4 years, (MO $16 Million)
Brandon manning $2.25 AAV 1 year (MO $2 Million)
    3rd round pick 2020

    Edmonton

James Neal $5.75 AAV 4 years, (MO $23 million)
Michael stone $3.5 AAV 1 year (MO $3.5 Million)

    Oilers AAV= $9.25 MO=$26.5

    Flames MO= $18.0 Million
    (After manning is sent down)
    AAV=$7.175

Flames save just over $2.27 million AAV
and save $8.5 Million in Real dollars

    Notes

NMC of Lucic would have to be agreed that hed waive it when expansion draft comes in

Oilers would probably for cap reason and roster reason would have to flip Matt Benning in a separate deal. Looking at getting that 3rd back in another deal with matt benning

Curious as to what puljujärvi+Benning could get us?

    Klefbom larsson
    Nurse russel
    Jones stone
    Bear persson
    Bouchard

Not sure about the flames defense combos, would they still trade Brodie?

    Giordano andersson
    Valamaki hamonic
    Hanafin brodie
    Klyington

He is I'm thinking if the flames don't want to pay neal contract as he's owed more money maybe ownership might want it

Neal had a bad year but Lucic is horrendous and that contract is untradeable. The comparison isn't even close right now.

i am going to say yes on behalf of non Oilers fans in the hopes that Lucic threads stop.

He will be in the Oilers pressbox when the puck is dropped for 2019/2020

We take Manning AND Looch in one deal! Wow zeros, sign me up.

If you want us to take either one, give sweetener. Stone isn’t just a cap dump and Neal is more valuable than Lucic.

Saving one year of Stone, an AHLer and a third isn’t enough to take on Lucic’s Abominable contract. Unless there’s an unprotected first coming back or 50% retention, I can’t see the Flames being interested. Even if Lucic agreed to waive his NMC for Seattle, with the quality D men Calgary will inevitably have to expose, Seattle’s not taking on that anchor.

Heres the only positive with lucic obviously the toughness aspect is important
But if he can put up 30 points this season
hes owed $3 million for this season and his bonus next year is $3 million

So when July 2 of 2020 hits

Milan Lucic is owed $10 Million in real dollars over 3 years

    2020/2021 base $1.0 Million
    2021/2022 SB $2.5 Base $2.5 Million
    2022/2023 SB $3.0 base $1.0

After Lucic gets his signing bonus in 2022, he will more than likely call it a career

Take Manning out, then you may interest the Flames, just for cap purpose.

There is no positive, Oilers are stuck with that contract.

It actually might be better and poteintially a little bit easier to flip him next year especially if he can put up 30-35 points, when you think contract wise and what money is owed

But in the end id expect the oilers next year to add either a 1st or Nurse and try to get rid of him, then go into UFA and add a good forward

Manning can be buried in the AHL. No interest in Neal or Stone. Rather sit Lucic in the press box until he waives his nmc

Neal can score 30 with McDavid and you free up Drai for the 2nd line ;)

Flames wouldn't even think about this unless you dropped Manning and added a 1st

Yikes......we'd have to take two players HFOil likes to shit on the most??

    Sign us up!!

I'm afraid Lucic is going to retire an Oiler.........if he could score 30-35 points on the third line, I'd have to assume you'd want to keep him, no??

There couldn’t be anything in the world that makes less sense than dumping Nurse to trade Lucic.

Congrats, the only appealing piece you gave to Calgary is a 3rd round pick.

I think we need to add Gagner to this deal to make it fair.

Not sure if joking but the Flames have 12 forwards better than Gagner so no thanks.

Where's the 1st round pick attachment? The Flames aren't the Oilers' cap trash spot.

You are aware that Neail is one year older and got outscored by Lucic last year?

Both are terrible contracts but Lucic has intangibles. The last memory of neal was his lazy backcheck that got the Flames eliminated from the playoffs.
