Like anyone with 2 brain cell would think he would ? Maybe if the Oilers have a top 5 pick this year some rebuilding team might take the pick and Campbell for nothing.

It would cost more than a top 5 pick to dump Campbell. 3.75 years remaining. No bueno.

I can see why they made the move, and maybe it helps short term.

But this team is going nowhere until they stop chasing offense and commit to a full-rink game. Woodcroft has no answers, just more “outscoring” to make up for all the mistakes made at the back and in transition. Next up is the new coach. We’ll see if they can make a difference.

With how long this has been a problem for Edmonton, it feels like it comes from the top down. This has lasted through multiple coaches, GMs, and PoHOs... I think you have to ask yourself if Katz telling the people he hires that he wants fire wagon hockey like the great Oilers teams of the 80s.
