Solid grouping good sir!
I would be surprised if Askarov slides to the 20th pick but then I have seen him in recent mocks dropping plus that 1st round is nice..
Also appreciate Lucas Raymond at 4..

Personally I'm still old school in my "Don't take a goalie that high" mindset.
I think 15-30 is his range. And I just really like the fit of him in Edmonton.

Honestly think LA would take Drysdale.

Maybe so. They have alot of holes to fill. I don't think you can really go wrong either way.
For me getting that goal scorer would just be more valuable at that spot.

Depends who LA thinks is BPA but they have Vilardi, Kaliyev, Turcotte, Kupari, JAD, Thomas, and Madden on the way. No real Drysdale.

Anton Lundell so high and picked by Montréal? Not too sure. He doesn't seem like a #1 center, I think he could become a really good 2nd center.

Yeah I get the old school mentality ;) but Askarov comes with some pretty lofty praise.
No issues with you fitting him in with the Oilers.. They could use him.

I don't see Poirier going in the top 15 or Holtz dropping that far. I can't see the Habs passing on Holtz if he falls to them. Thanks for the mock, I think you've might of nailed the Askarov pick.

the Oilers taking Askarov at #20 if he's still there would be refreshing to say the least because they have shied away traditionally from doing that and i don't know why because the last time they did it they ended up with Devon Dubnyk at #14 !

I think the Habs have their #1 C in Suzuki. Lundell would give them a really good 1-2 punch.
Personally not 100% sure Holtz's game translates to North America.

Maybe I am just a fan boy of Poirier. But I think he is set up to have a huge break out season and has alot of the tools to be a star. Could be a massive steal for who ever picks him up.

Askarov to the Oilers would be an amazing fit. They have to figure out a long term goalie here soon if they want to be a long term contender in my opinion.

Can’t see the Flames passing Askarov in this scenario.

Also can’t see Lapierre falling out of the first.

Maybe so, really can't go wrong either way. I like O'Rourke a fair bit though and think he would fit in well in that d core in a few years.

As for Lapierre, his concussions are just too much for me. Kid just cant stay healthy and is just too big of a red flag for me.

Hanifin and Valimaki are both top 4D LHD moving forward. And then there is Oliver Kylington and we just signed Connor Mackey who is close to the NHL. LD isn’t a need.

Askarov is legit the top goalie prospect since Price. We have Parsons and Wolf, both guys have potential but are pretty long shots to be starters imo.

And I think the problem with Lapierre was a spinal alignment that caused headaches but apparently he fixed it through physical therapy. His potential is too high. For my own Flames, we have lots of skill on the wing and in the system and could totally take a swing on a potential Backlund type player. I’m sure there are other teams thinking the same past the top 15 or so guys.

I read article were it was stated he had one concussion, when they believed he suffered two more they found slip disk in his neck and that was properly dealt with and he’s 100% healthy now. So he’s interesting pick that’s for sure. Maybe the biggest home run or swing and miss pick for first round

Not a bad list. My Wild must’ve won the lottery to jump up to 7th. I like that we’re taking Perfetti; he’s gonna be a star

Jets might be the team least likely to take Poirier in the first round. They have a lot of system depth at LD and they put high value on hockey sense. I think they'd love to select Holtz if he's available at #12. He'd be a good future replacement for Wheeler at RW.

I think Ottawa is going to take him if their 2 picks are in the top 3.

I think they'll take a D with that 21 pick or even in the 2nd round. Personally, would love to see them take Gunler, JJ Peterka, or Reichel with that pick and take Wallinder with 33 (if still there)
