I got us losing tonight and winning game 5. Because that seems like the most Bruins thing possible.

Also at least now if we lose with Donato in, we can say we tried almost everything. Nash line 3 and Backes line 4?

Marchand-Bergeron-Pasta
Debrusk-Krejci-Donato
Heinen-Kuraly-Rick Nash
Wingels-Acciari-Backes

Line 4 just has to hit, all night long. Riley Nash sits one out, but honestly Backes could too.

Cassidy has already said they don't see Donato as a RWer at this point in time.

You want hitting, and in the same sentence say you'd be fine with sitting Backes, whose tied with Debrusk for the lead in hits among the forward group in this series with 8 a-piece.

To put that into context, 3rd and 4th place among forwards are Pastrnak and Acciari with 5 each. Everyone else has 3 or less.

Krejci has 9 pts in 10 games. Trouble is 9 of them came vs the Leafs.
1 pt so far vs Tampa and playing very tenative.

If we lose, which I honestly do not think we will, I hate to say it, we would definitely have to look at our goaltending situation moving forward in these playoffs. At the beginning of the seaon Khudobin was incredible and Tuukka really stunk. The team just seeemed to play better with Anton in goal. They are going on high on Tuukka, its obvious. The more unorthodox style of Anton may make Bolt players second guess.

A couple of things are keeping me positive going into this one. First, the Bs have been pretty good at not losing 3 in a row all year. Second, they haven't looked very good in either loss, yet they with within striking distance for most of the last 120 minutes. Tampa definitely has played a part in making the Bruins look mediocre but this is the playoffs. Adjustments need to be made. Your move Bruins.

I like this lineup, but as BD pointed out, not sure the B's want Donato having to deal with playing the off wing right now, he will have enough to deal with if he's in.

Swap Donato and Heinen. 43 has shown some chemistry with Krejci and has proven he can play the off wing in the NHL.

Gives Donato a more favorable matchup against the 3rd line of Tampa.

This is not a demotion for 74 people so don't get worked up, but I wouldn't mind:

63-37-88
17-46-61
74-52/55-43
57-52/55-42

Backes and one of Acciari/Kuraly on the 4th line would allow the B's to match the physicality of the TB 4th line.

He made one mistake ... something he rarely does

Give him a break

Bruins not able to generate quality shots should be the story 2 games straight

Zero chance you paid attention watching the game if you think Gryz made only one mistake.

Having said that, I agree with your last sentence.

The records for both teams this season are quite good when they score the game's first goal.

Tonight let's get the first goal.

Rask has kept them in every game this series. How about, you know, the rest of the team match Rasks focus and effort level?

He played a bad game all around. Way more then just one play. Also didn’t look great in game 2. It might be time for him to sit a game or two.

Bruins when DeBrusk records a point: 5-2-0
Bruins when DeBrusk doesn't record a point: 0-3-0
Bruins when DeBrusk scores a goal: 4-1-0

Jake DeBrusk is the key to everything **dramatic music plays in the background**

Can't be a one line team in the playoffs. It can get you there but we won't go anywhere so long as we are one.
As seen above when the 2nd line produces we win.

The bottom 6 has been a disaster. Riley Nash has been trash forcing Kuraly to play on the 3rd line at times, who has been good but at the same time his promotion has left the 4th line ineffective. Backes so far has been 6 million dollars of locker room words of wisdom and that's it. And Danton Heinen, while sound positionally hasn't produced. No bueno. Meanwhile one of Tampa's best lines has been their 3rd line.

We've gotten dominated for 6 periods in a row and Stamkos and Kucherov have been quieted. Bad that we've been beaten by their depth, but atleast we know we can stop the stars? Tampa's depth has crushed ours. If their best players start scoring it's over in 5. But if we get the first goal tonight, build momentum, and get more than 1 line rolling it's a series.
