Look at the commentary in the post #1353. That's a different view.

Again, if it had been called a no goal on the ice I think they would've kept the call as a no goal. You can say they botched the call and that's fine but it's the slightest push that happens all the time around the crease.
And when the push causes someone to dump onto a goalie, while a shot is coming in, it kinda changes things IMO.

The problem with the studio view is that they’re saying Swayman wasn’t going to make the save. But anyone with eyeballs can see that he still had a chance to get his paddle in front of the puck. For the purposes of this rule, there’s a world of difference between “impossible to make the save” and “very difficult to make the save”.

It’s not the referee’s place to judge whether the goalie is good enough to pull it off; what matters is that there’s still a realistic chance. Which there definitely was.

Have you read the rule? It has zero to do with impeding Swayman’s ability to play the puck. Bennett shoving Coyle into Swayman is the exact same thing, according to the rule, as if he went into the crease and initiated contact with Swayman himself. Did Geekie impede Bobrovsky’s ability to play the puck? No, there was no puck (!). Rather, he initiated contact with Bobrovsky, which “for the purpose of the rule” (according to the very wording of the rule itself) is precisely what Bennett did (and also, while we’re at it, apparently what Lauko did last game). But, you know, you can go ahead and read it for yourself.

Ok, so you want to win the battle here but you aren't winning the war anyway. I honestly don't even care. The Panthers have outplayed the Bruins massively in every other category except goaltending. Botched calls happen all the time in the nhl, if you want to hang your hat on that then go ahead.

It's not like Boston was going to win this game anyway. The refs just though it would be better to accelerate the process.

100% Swayman wasn't going to make the save anyway. Good call.
I really feel like this is 100% correct

I posted earlier that the reason Boston lost is because Florida is better and Barkov is better than our 4 (actually 5) centres combined (Beecher’s ok tho. Still just a kid). Barkov made a big boy play and none of our 11 3rd & 4th line talent could, even, and especially, when they were in alone. Florida’s better. Full stop. But the Rangers are better than you and have much better goaltending. And they’re substantially meaner than Boston (course so’s my cat - and I don’t have a cat). Doesn’t alter the fact that it was GI and Florida shouldn’t even have been on a PP in the first place, or that Bennett’s a gutless puke. Still, you’ll win the series and will deserve to win it because you’re better. But Bennett also deserves to be fed his teeth. Go Trouba, Go Rempe, Go Rags!

I mean Trouba is kind of like Bennett, plays a violent game and doesn't give a shit if you try to come at him. Rempe? He isn't even a regular in the lineup for them. And if he plays it's like five minutes. Should be a good series though if that happens.

Best thing that could happen for the Rangers is that Trouba takes Bennett or Tkachuk out (I won’t call for him to take Barkov out - I have my limits 😉) and gets himself suspended for the rest of the series. He’s been terrible. Been their McAvoy.

Again, the better team is in control of the series. The bruins teeter between chumpy and struggling and it seems most of us B’s fans just want it to end at this point. Series’ can always be turned around until a team wins 4 but I’d be lying if I said this current iteration of the bruins is fun to watch with the exception of Swayman in these playoffs. I hope the bruins take this series as the one where Tampa swept the cats and put a bigger focus on grit and toughness with the decent chunk of cap space.

Those surprised by Bennett - none of this is new:

As the bruin fan that posted most of the videos here I don’t even care at this point because clearly the team doesn’t, I hope Bennett continues to run rough shod on every team until it’s McDavid or Makar and league is panicking as the panthers torch villages.

Tbf Boston grabbing a guy fresh off back surgery on the wrong side of 35 to be their muscle is wildly stupid, Maroon knows he’s a bruin for most likely one more game, he has no gas but also no desire to be whatever type of scary maroon ever was.
Maroon isn’t gonna do anything. If nothing has happened by now, it’s never happening
