Let's see your anaysis then, you've had 13 years. Evidence of collusion between Lemieux and Bettman for rigging the 2005 draft and the payment reciepts from Lemieux to each ref.
They' ve lead the league in PP time in the last 3 Post season including this one!!!!!!!!!
Coincidence!!!!!!!

The payment receipts to each refs lol
You dont work for the FBI that's for sure lol

The morning lines. When someone is taking morning off, the caps put a placeholder like they did with oshie was missing morning skates they used boyd as a placeholder and didnt change lines.

This time they moved eller up to line 2 for practice which is something trotz never does if someone is playing
Hope he's good to go

Backstrom buying into protecting their own end is what has them up 3-2.
However, it won't mean as much tonight, because he wouldn't be matched up with Crosby. As far I am concerned, losing Backstrom on the road is far less significant than losing him at home. Let him rest and hope for the best tonight. He plays game 7 no matter what.

Thanks Gary!

edit: And of course you are wrong - who would have thought? The Sharks lead in PP time this year.

PP time is a dumb indicator anyways btw. PP opportunities makes more sense to whine about, but the Sharks also lead there (in less games). The Sharks have been sliding Gary more money this year it seems.

I am hoping that does not mean much and he is just putting Eller in there just in case Backstrom has to leave during the game.

It also wouldn't be the first time a coach used the wrong lines on purpose in the morning skate of a playoff game.
It is just Trotz using his version of pocket sand. A complete diversion!

This is a false statement, fake news, lie.

Power Plays per game in this year's playoffs for the final 8

SJ: 4.7 (47 in 10 games)
VGK: 4.0 (40 in 10 games)
PIT: 3.9 (43 in 11 games)
TB: 3.8 (38 in 10 games)
Was: 3.7 (41 in 11 games)
Nas: 3.0 (33 in 11 games)
Bos: 2.8 (33 in 12 games)
Win: 2.7 (27 in 10 games)

When you have to lie to make your point, you've lost the argument.

Well it could be. There could also be another factor(s) leading to it.

They played more games than any other team.
Their speed game lends to more obstruction penalties.
They successfully dive a lot.
They whine a lot on the ice.
Their players are well liked.
They played more home games.

PP Total time is a bad stat to use as the teams that go to the Stanley Cup are always ranked 1 and 2 by virtue of playing the most games almost always.

PP Opportunities per game or PP - PK differential per game or overall would be much better and even those don't show causation.

Tonight is when we see if the caps have really changed. Very high pressure game, closing out the pens won't be easy. If the caps play well and move on all you can do is tip your cap. We shall see.

the two Stanley cups; including a made-up offside call against the preds in the SCF

that was a good goal and you know it

:sarcasm:
Not according to the rule book. It was offsides. Should the rule have been changed so that was an offsides? perhaps. But according to the rule book, it was the right call.

Hey Pens have a sustained offensive pressure for at least one period; I wanna see the Trotz eyebrow dance (been missing this post-season).

Then if you want you can proceed to lose the game (and series)

Road game, so they have to protect him defensively. Also, I don't know if Trotz wants him on his off-side for defensive reasons for the whole game. Or with Kuzy and OV for the entire game for defensive reasons as well.
Well based on the matchup in any given period/draw it would be nice to flip with Stephenson. (Hopefully)
