Big game. Hard to see NJ being able to come back 0-3. They need this one. TB shouldnt give NJ any hope. They need to take care of this game and possibly take care of this team sooner than later.

Surprised to see Grabner scratched.

Corey and MarJo could provide a spark. Devils need something to get them going.

lol why? he's been absolute trash, **** him
Stafford has been trash for 5 years now. Zacha has also been trash and looks scared out there. Hell, Lovejoy is complete trash and still has a spot in the lineup.

Edit* Almost forgot about Maroon... yikes. Easily forgettable though.

At least Grabner brings speed, PK and defense if he isn't putting points up.

This is a MUST win for NJ. They cannot be in a situation where they have to take 4 in a row from TB, because it won't happen. NJ is going to come out like this is game 7 of the finals, because for them, it pretty much is.

The deck is stacked against TB tonight, though. Cally out. Up 2-0 after some imperfect victories at home. They've been their own worst enemy through the series so far. Careless turnovers, lackluster efforts, etc. All that stuff has to be cleaned up tonight or they're throwing a drowning team a lifeline. Put shots on Schneider in big quantities and early. He hasn't had a ton of work lately, so try and shake his confidence quickly.

TB cannot follow their usual MO of getting a lead and then falling asleep while the game happens around them. They need a lead and then they need to pressure constantly.

Lovejoy In for mueller .... cool. How many goals does BLJ give up on his own tonight. Over 2?

You have a young talented player and Bratt, you play stafford?

This whole “self starter” thing is starting to get way out of hand. Hynes lineup decisions are f***ing brutal.

Anyway, obviously must win game. We aren’t going to win the series, but let’s take the next 2 and make the league respect us as a team!!!

Never say never. Bolts have been known to get content with what they have done and lose a little of the urgency that they need to play their game. Devils are a team that could easily make them pay for that.

Devils need Schneider to return to the form he had his first few years there. They'll get the home town crowd boost and these will be tight games.

Yeah...it's a real head-scratcher that Bratt isn't in while Stafford is. I don't get it either.

I mean....I understand that Hynes wants to win and everything but with the Devils being in the situation they are in, isn't it a better idea to put your OTHER *young* player(that has shown success during the regular season) out there in games that he can gain invaluable experience(at only 19 years of age!) going forward?

Hopefully Lovejoy gets explosive shits and can't stop, he has been flat out f***ing terrible and has cost them 4+ goals against with his horrible play.

Problem with Grabner so far in this series is, he has barely used his speed. But he really shouldn't be out of the line up because one break away and he can score.

Hynes is a moron.

Bratt is a scratch? Santini too?

I don't get it.

Lovejoy is still awful I see.
Santini went from getting ridden like a rented mule and playing over 20 minutes a night to sitting in the AHL for 4 months.

I still can't explain it. He struggled playing top pairing matchups and minutes (like every other dman on the roster)....so the coaching staff exiles him to Siberia instead of reducing his NHL minutes/competition. He is literally the only player on the D that can effectively clear the crease.

Santini hasn't played in the NHL in months, they're not going to play him. Bratt could actually accomplish something though.

Santini can't be any worse than Lovejoy or Greene. In fact, he might actually be able to throw a hit and be of some use instead of getting rocked on his ass and causing the team to give up a goal.
