The answer of what happened to Kucherov is Forsling and Barkov. Will be interesting to see how well Tampa is able to get him away from them with last change but they suffocated him so far
That entire penalty kill is choking the Lightning. TB needs to do some serious X’s and O’s And find a way to be more productive on the PP. the bumper is negated, the pass down low leads to nothing, point shots are pressured and blocked, it’s pretty impressive the job Florida is doing.

Don't care about fans complaining about reffing or whatever, but those Tampa players just won't shut up about it. Every other between whistle is some Tampa player crying to a ref.

It's impossible for Tampa fans to complain about the reffing today, 2 extra powerplays and a 4 minute PP with a tie on fresh ice in the 3rd and Florida got the best chances shorthanded. The 2 main reasons Florida is winning are Tampa's ineffective powerplay and honestly what the hell happened to Kucherov? 5 v 5 Florida has dominated as expected. Keys for a Tampa comeback are how much can they take advantage of the Bennett injury, how hurt is Forsling, and can they get Kucherov going on the powerplay? They won't win 5 v 5. Also healthy scratched Jeannot, who seems to be a Ben Chiarot Panthers level bad acquisition, they'd probably like if he did something.
Jeannot sucks. So does half of our lineup that is AHL quality.

I won't say it's over before it's over but we really needed to win one of these two. Our absolute incompetence in OT is something to study for the next generations. It's like they give up trying to score even before the OT starts.

There's just too many holes in the Tampa lineup. The D is as shit as ever and the bottom six is an offensive black hole. It's Cup or bust for Florida so in that sense the series has went the way it's supposed to.

Our 5v5 scoring has to be better in the next two games. Tampa most likely gets the edge in PPs and it's only a matter of time before it starts to click. Letting them hang around in games is going come back and bite us at some point.

I don't disagree about the bolded, and part of their comeback to tie was due to stupid offensive zone penalties. However, to Tampa's credit they have two lines that can score at will versus any team and a goalie that is back on his game. Vasily has been equally impressive as Bob, and most goalies he's given up were off rebounds/bodies in front. Very hard to beat him with a clean shot.

Just sucks that the guy that directly contributed to both Panthers regulation goals got taken out by FLA-Weegar 2.0

They'll get their chances but we are out chancing them 5v5 pretty heavily though if you look at the stats. Need to convert at a higher rate because our PP won't most likely keep up with them.

Drivers seat perhaps, but these are 3 time champs we won't put the cart before the horse until we have 4 Ws

I hope that Lightning fans appreciate that we are using the lessons taught to us by the Lightning this time around. They helped mold the resolve of this current group.

Tampa will most likely scratch their way back , but this isn't the same Tampa team as years passed , don't think they can pull it off

Best thing from Panthers for me is there's 'just' enough physical play and truculence, but it's more controlled than last year. Can tell they've learned. People thought ahead of this series it was going to be a bloodbath.

Maybe that's yet to come, but Panthers have been relatively disciplined while not ignoring the fun stuff.

Sam Bennett out possibly rest of playoffs maybe back for final if they make it.

Big blow for Florida for this series. Tampa could gain some momentum going home.

Much truth in this statement. This team was made to beat the Lightning, FL knows nothing else matters if you can’t even get out of your division. The Lightning were the major hurdle for them to clear, and the changes made were with lessons learned from the Lightning in mind.

Bennett news can’t be good. He left the ice immediately like something was really wrong. He will be a big loss for FL
