There was a team who filed something either last postseason or maybe in 2022 but cannot remember who it was. It was western conference I think

Unless they post something that goes deeply personal, I don’t think any organization wants to be the one filing social media grievances during the playoffs. There’s soft and then there’s soft.

That’s as tough a loss as you’ll see. Even though team was outplayed majority of the game, it’s still tough to blow a lead like that so late. That’s a devastating loss that team probably won’t recover from. I think it’s a short series now. 4-5 games
That's candid respect.

I'd be rather shocked if it goes five at this point, that kind of loss gets in your head..... I expect the Isles to come out and make a ton of self inflicted errors Thursday and goon it up.

If they don't like it they should consider stopping us on thr ice.

It could serve as a nice distraction. Get everyone focused on that instead of the blown lead.

I feel as if any time a team loses the way the Isles did tonight in a game 2 or game 5 on the road they always go home and totally spank the opponent in game 3 or 6. I said earlier I forseee series going 5-1 or 6-2 Isles 4-1, 3-0 Canes from here. It seems the series which go 3-0 so often have mundane game 1 and 2s where the team headed home has no emotion or anything to feed off of, when they do it seems they usually grab that 3rd game easily then get smoked after that.

Electrifying comeback. Brutal loss for the Islanders, to get caved in for so long in a game and almost pull it out. That will probably kill their spirit. I originally predicted Canes in 5 but now I wonder if it will even go that far...

Sorry, @SI90. I stopped watching when the Isles were up 3-0, so clearly I was the only thing bringing the Islanders luck tonight.

I mean Carolina had the puck the entire 2nd and 3rd period, Roy thought he could win this game just by "turtling" a 3-0 lead to the finish line, he forgot who he was playing against. But the fact the Islanders were ahead 3-0 in this game should be a wake up call for Carolina.

Just watched on delay--WOW

Embarrassing.Feel bad for Varly. Him and MacLean were studs.

Dobson is such garbage lately. Bench him.

Another crap broadcast from ESPN. Kevin Weeks stop talking yet? We know he Fan Dueled the Canes. Keep that guy out of the booth. At least Leah Hextall comes prepared with up to date facts about the teams

Freddy Anderson 3 goals ,9 saves, 1 win. Stat line of the night

Kudos to Carolina. Nobody asks how, just how many.

The devastating thing about it the the fact that Isles fans are not the LEAST bit surprised.

There's a lot of distance between these teams. Patty Roy knows when he's being outplayed. Good on him for no huge blow ups on the bench.

Yeah we have the better coach too. In fact a lot of their chances and goals came on poke checking and getting odd man rushes in their own zone and the neutral zone. I would totally blame his strategy to stop attacking us aggressively if I was a Isles fan. 🥴

There were a few times in the games the forwards just stood around in their zone not helping out their D. They did not play like a 5 men unit out there today. The talents are there but not playing timely to support each other.

Barzal and Nelson were playing like they were too afraid to be hit. The best players on the team cannot shy away from physical play and stop skating. They need to have second or third efforts like this is their last game.

I do think Dobson is not 100% and only playing because the alternative is a lot worse. I think Varmalov was quite good during the 1st half but he lost his cool after a Cane forward got his stick into his helmet and pulled it off. After the Canes scored on Varly's penalty hacking someone in front, he lost his focus and went down too early on shots. If you go down, at least get your stick or glove up high to stop the shots.

MacLean came to play though, if each Isles player played like him, the Isles should accomplish more as a group.

That makes 2 of us. I had something else I needed to do so stopped watching, with the intention of watching the rest later. That never happened.

I just saw the highlights and man that comeback was unexpected.

Considering the Islanders were coming into the playoffs as one of the hottest teams in the league, that was a total breakdown. Wonder if it's Canes in 4 because of it.

Did this one amount to anything back in the day? I do remember some fans were (intentionally?) misinterpreting it as a suggestion to better bow down on both knees the Dr Dre way.

I don't think the Isles are capable of "spanking" the Canes.

Man watching the replay of the game tying goal.

What in the hell is Horvat doing? Watches the Hurricanes player receive the pass in the slot and totally abandons him to move elsewhere.

Not entirely sure what happened. Should never be a guy open in that spot even if it was a power play.
